STILL keeps going.
This is about the All Ponds Solutions 3000 Submersible Aquarium Pump which I am using in a garden pond. Starting its second season and still going strong. I've got two outlets in my system and there is pressure to spare. I'm not particularly kind to pumps, they get fitted and forgotten until they stop for some reason. I left it in the water over the winter, seems the safest place for it, and just ran it occasionally. I allowed it to clog up with leaves but once I cleared those away it was fine. I have a separate filter. Simple, no nonsense, no unnecessary plastic bits and a good price. When I break it I shall buy another the same. EDIT March 2019 Another winter passed. As my amended title suggests, this pump is still going like a train. I am purchasing another now in case they stop making it (can't imagine why that would be) and because presumably it cannot last forever. Best pump I have had apart from a small old-style Hozelock from years ago, before they started using flimsy shafts.

Pump in one place, inlet somewhere else!
Very few negatives on this pump and they are minor, okay it doesn't come with any attachments like fountain heads (but can be bought separately for about ยฃ8) and in comparison to the competition it's cheap. Now been running for a couple of months at about 12hrs/day (on a timer), so can't comment on long term reliability. I'd been a bit ambitious and bought a 6,000 litre/hr pump (very good pump) but was far too big for my size of pond (learning from experience here). Think my pond is around 3,000-4,000 litres and bought this as a replacement. Didn't bother with the rubber feet, cut a paving slab to size, drilled it and then attached the pump using black plastic cable ties. Then put pump in about 3 feet of water. Using it to drive a waterfall and a fountain (as a bypass in case the filter, Jebao, in the line to the waterfall clogs up badly). Slight negative, the 'fountain head' kit didn't come with a universal joint, so if you want your fountain vertical then the pump has to be level - not the fault of the pump! Bigger negative, after about a month the filter on the pump (that's the grey plastic bit in the photos) clogged up with weed. Only solution, get in pond sans trousers (and it's cold and it's quite deep) to lift and clean pump. But not a long term problem. Remove the grey plastic filter (or the black plastic round bit on the end is a push out) and behind you will find the inlet to the pump is threaded. Get an adaptor from the 'fountain kit' attach 1" flexible plastic pipe and screw to the thread on the pump inlet. At the other end buy two small pond plant pots (black plastic with perforations - round or square) and attach open end to open end with black cable ties to form a closed basket, cut a round hole in the base of one plant pot and stick pipe through and you now have a filter on the inlet (I attached the pipe to the basket also with black cable ties). You can now have the pump in one place and the inlet with a filter on it (reachable without having to climb in the pond) in another. For this reason alone this pump is worth 5 stars (my other bigger pump at nearly 3x the price didn't have this feature). Final point, my plant pot filter is buoyant so I tied a large pebble (another black plastic cable tie) around the inlet pipe close to the filter to weight it down. Net result is that the filter sits vertically at the side of the pond, unobtrusive and easy to get at. From memory, delivery was quick as well.

POWERFUL LITTLE PUMP
Bought this as a replacement for a much dearer pump (well known brand) that only just lasted past the 1 yr warranty! Thought if I have to buy a pump, every, just over a year, I will go cheap then I don't mind keep replacing this item. This pump was much sturdier, with suction pads on the bottom to enable the pump to sit properly in the bottom of the pond, (I did see some people moaning about fitting the suction pads and they were a little stiff to get on, just needs a bit of elbow grease), once on they're going nowhere! Very pleased with the pumps casing it feels so much stronger than the previous pump. It is very powerful , so if you just want a little waterfall/fountain, go for the smaller pump in this range, I have put on this pump a fountain and it is connected to my waterfall and does both well. So far the pump is working perfectly with no problems, time will tell on how long it lasts. But so far would highly recommend this item.

What a good little pump
What a good little pump! This was purchased to replace a much larger and more expensive pump which had lost the will to pump. The pump is used to work a waterfall system in our garden pumping water from a lower pond to an upper one from which the water returns via the waterfall.. The lift height is about 1.5m and the new pump copes with this with ease through a 25mm pipe system. The pump is so good that I have had to fit a restrictor valve to moderate the flow rate. The cable, for my setup, is more than adequate and feeds from a waterproof outdoor socket. I would recommend this item to anyone.

Good looking pump, but doesnโt pump as high as advertised
Said pump is 6 m max height but pump actually says 3.5m max so disappointing!

Powerful compact pump at very reasonable price
Excellent value . This pump is perfect for our 1000 litre pond with 6 large carp in residence! The pump is also powering the cascade and fountain. Very pleased indeed.

Value, lift, compact, flow rate. Buy this pump, you will not regret it!
Compact, silent, great cable length. Suction cups are great, hose connection is easy. Ignore other comments, watch my video. Lifts up to 2 meters easily. Huge flow rate and after several months of CONTINUOUS use it works perfectly. Look nowhere is for a pump in this price range, it really is amazing!!
