An excellent machine which will save you a lot of work and will markedly improve your lawn. I am probably the worst garden equipment assembler, but this really is quite easy. There are two attachments, a raker already fitted and a scarifying tine attachment which is basically the same thing but for lighter raking duties like leaf collecting. You won't be able to aerate your lawn with this type of machine, but it's great for scarifying. Only use going fowards, never reversing backwards. Ignore comments on here about the collection bag not being large enough, this is usual as it is a highly effective machine. As it collects so much moss, it's best to leave the bag off completely, just keep the flap open by fitting the cage only without the bag. Wear wellington boots to protect your legs from dirt being thrown up. The electric cord holders work well enough if you fit them the right way around. This machine has been very well designed and I give it full marks.

Excellent piece of kit and does the job well. I have given it four stars as I have a small garden and the mains lead is only 10.5metres long, and was still not long enough to do the job, so I had to purchase an extension lead. Why could they not put an 15m lead on it? Also the collection box is quite small so had to make frequent trips to empty it. Not really sure how this can be improved! For value for money it is excellent in every way

I am not too sure why the product packaging/box was then repackaged in a further tailored box that was the exact dimensions of the package containing the raker. The outer box whilst plain brown cardboard did have printed on it the contents of the box, (the Raker/Scarifier), so it clearly was not to hide what was in the box. An unnecessary waste of cardboard/packaging. The instruction leaflet was easy to understand and the diagrams were clear and large enough to identify key items for assembly. I have now used the Raker/Scarifier for the first time and have made the following assessment of using the product. 1) Using the Aerator (As pre-installed) it does an excellent job of removing thatch and moss. 2) As has been mentioned by numerous previous purchasers, the collection box does fill extremely quickly and this requires very frequent emptying. I am not too sure that the manufacturer could do much to improve the size of the box, as this would (a) possibly make the raker unstable (b) the extra weight of grass in the box would alter the centre of gravity of the raker making it very heavy at the back and it may therefore cause it to dig in and become difficult to handle. Emptying the collection box is easy, and quick. One has to remember that the product would, in my situation be only used twice per year, and over the period of 12 months, certainly 2 years, the lawn would become more and more thatch free, and therefore the amount collected in the box will decrease. As previously stated this product I would see as being used only twice per year, so looking after it as I tend to do with all my gardening tools I would expect many, many years of good use. Im very pleased with this purchase, and would recommend it as a good lawn care tool.

This is AMAZING. It is so simple to put together. You do need to check out the instructions. They look complicated until you read them properly. It is small compact and so easy to push around. My grass was very thick and full of moss. This lifted it All up. The scarifier works really well, it also has a grass lifter which you attach afterwards and it also is excellent. Great value for money. I really like this product.

Great little machine for medium sized lawns but be warned - the collection box fills up far too quickly and needs constant emptying. Great for getting moss out of your lawn and very robust machine.

This was bought to replace our trusty old Qualcast lawn raker. It was easy to assemble and is fairly small and lightweight to handle. It’s pretty noisy ! The lawn needs to be cut before starting and should be as dry as possible. We only use the raking bar which is enough to pick up the dead thatch. The collection box on the back is fairly small and fills quickly so we prefer to use without it. As you walk the dead grass is left on the lawn and can be collected using a mower on a medium setting. After raking, the lawn immediately looks much better and more uniform.

Have used it 3 times now on my and neighbours gardens. Has lifted the moss and thatch after using moss killer. Only advice it to use the higher setting first and work your way down. Then make sure you have lots of bags to put it in.

Excellent piece of kit. Did the job. Reread the user guide just to be aware of how to use. Don’t pull backwards as the can plough up the lawn. I can recommend.
