As someone with narcolepsy this has been tremendously helpful.
I bought this years ago as a desperate college student with difficulty waking up due to narcolepsy. It works as advertised and has been extremely helpful. I find the battery life is a lot shorter now (years after first purchasing) but still lasts a few days. Its not uncomfortable to wear and can be situated on either side of your wrist. The counting feature for jumping jacks is not very accurate, but if you set the amount you have to do low then you end up doing a reasonable amount. I recently had an issue getting it to connect (again mine in years old now) and the customer service was extremely helpful through the app and helped troubleshoot the issue. Needless to say if and when mine breaks I'm immediately ordering another. This is a genius product that has genuinely improved my quality of life. If you are on the fence- get it, it’s worth it.

EXACTLY what I needed
I have like 5 alarms (in addition to this watch), and was still somehow sleeping through them (?) It is soooo much harder to sleep through this “shock watch” (the sound could be louder, but not really why I bought It). If you’ve ever used a TENS unit, the “shocks” are very similar to that (minus the stickers and wires). I included a photo of the inside of the watch that shocks / vibrates. If you have issues getting up to standard alarms, I highly Recommend. It’s a bit of an investment (but cheaper than losing your job from oversleeping). I also LOVE the app. (I haven’t had to pay for it or subscribe - if you want the community aspect and challenges there may be a fee, but I’m able to access the alarms and wake up features I need). Last 2 photos are one of my alarms. You can set it to make you scan a QR code (you’ll have to print it out and put it somewhere), do jumping jacks, or do a puzzle on the app. I’ve only used the puzzle, but it has a few different types of puzzles it randomizes (they help wake your brain up a little bit). Next 2 options are preventing you from snoozing, or you have it zap you again when you snooze. Light sleep tries to wake you up during a lighter sleep cycle. Escalating alarm helps with battery life and incremental gets louder or increases the zap ⚡️until you wake up. Smart alarm makes sure you didn’t fall back asleep by checking to see if you’re moving; if you don’t move within 5 minutes the alarm goes off again. All are optional (& free / with the cost of the watch). You can also set the amounts of the volume, zap level, and vibration levels from 0-100%. I usually use between 70-80% (with the escalating alarm). The shock watch also has an option for bad habits (like skin picking/smoking). You can set it to shock, beep, or vibrate if you raise your hand up (near your head). That’s also optional, it works okay (not really what I bought It for) but I’d like to see an option to maybe “train” it to alert you in a certain position or a certain amount of time maybe. Overall, I love It; I am Still employed. I love the purple color, and the shock part definitely works. I did want to point out that my wrists are TINY (~6 inches); the smallest notch is slightly tight, but I usually use the 2nd smallest, so may not work as well if you have child-sized wrists like me lol but all in all 10/5 ⭐️

Did not meet expectations of the soul propose of the devices intentions
Here is my genuine review on the Pavlok 3 I thought the concept was amazing I am an extremly heavy 12 alarm snooze till it’s to late to make it on time to work I have to say I have given it one star for one specific reason waking my heavy sleepiness up I tested it with the alarms all my kids wanted to test the electric impulse it is very subtle and not painful at all it gives a nice stimulation set the alarm on the app 10 times worked those ten times wore it through out the day even stayed up late to sleep deprived me cause I tend to get 4 hours of sleep for my 3am 12 hours days I went to bed at 2 am set the one and only alarm at 6 am set up everything to prevent me to not stay sleeping and put the electrical input to 35% witch was more than noticeable and set the alarm to also make me do a brain puzzle to shut it off and increasing shocks to the longer its alarm went off everything was perfect up until I woke up at 836am with the watch not pairing correctly to the app and thus making me wake up late and it got a one start for its main purpose of waking me and it didn’t hold to the expectations and I should have know cause I checked the app a few times and it wasn’t registering the watch even though it was paired with my phone so if this was a normal work day I would have woken up severly late possibly gotten fired or written up I don’t recommend this device due to the unloyalty of the app and watch not working correctly and for the price it is not worth it to me and pavlok you have my info you can contact me to hear why I am upset hope this helps everyone else looking at this

Really helps
I used to have one of the older models which helped me a lot with compulsive eating, it ended up breaking after several years so i decided to get a new one. This one is great too and still helps. Battery lasts much longer then the old one but the shock isn’t as strong. i set it to 100% but it still feels a bit weaker

Amazing for Deep Sleepers - Actually wakes you up
This product works amazing for me. I have tried many things in the past (alarms every 5 minutes, runaway alarms, sunrise /SAD alarms, puzzle alarms, loud radio, traditional bells, etc..) and nothing has every consistently worked for me. I can sleep through all of that. This worked for me because auditory and visual stimulation don't wake me up, but physical movement does. I found out about the type that shakes the bed, but I share a bed and didn't want to disturb my partner with the bed shaking. The band wasn't comfortable at all, so I got a replacement band and it works great. It's definitely heavy on my wrist, so that's something I just try to deal with (it's worth knowing that I'll wake up on time). There is a feature that checks using your movement to see when you are in a light sleep starting about 30 minutes before your alarm is set for. This feature has been super helpful because when it wakes me up, I'm not too groggy to stay awake usually. I also like that you can set the alarm to start with buzzing, then a beeping, then go to the shock feature. I typically wake up enough to start turning off the alarm before it gets to the shock feature, and usually before the beeping starts. My partner is never woken up by the buzzing, but the beeping does sometimes wake them up, depending on how loud I set it. I like that you can adjust and test beforehand how much of a shock it gives so it isn't too much, just enough to annoy you awake (or more if you need that). The shock feels a bit like a tens unit (for muscle pain relief), and I didn't feel anything until it got to 50% shock. The alarms are easy to make and have lots of helpful features [shock when pressing snooze, getting more annoying when ignored, doing jumping jacks, you can print off a qr code and put it somewhere in your house to scan, do various math puzzles, etc.]. The app is kind of slow sometimes. For instance - when I go to turn off an alarm, it takes a second to load the screen, but the alarm continues on my wrist. It will also take a few seconds at least to allow you to do anything else on the app right after dismissing an alarm (possibly to keep you awake). Overall, the best alarm I've ever had. I am no longer afraid to try to sleep on nights that I have to get up early or by a very specific time, because I know my alarms will actually wake me up.

Pricey, but worth it
My expectations have been exceeded. It requires the app to function, but the app is free for the basic stuff. It has a chirp alarm, buzz, and zap function that all work together for the alarms. I am hard to wake up, but this thing has me up and moving in a hurry. Though I use mine mostly for the alarm function, it is also a sleep tracker and fitness companion. The battery lasts me several days between charges, and it uses the same charger as my phone, so it doesn't require any extra plugs.

Watch is great, app needs work.
Update: Dropping this down to two stars. Reason one: App has gotten worse. It now freezes every morning when the watch alarm goes off. I use the app to silence the alarm, as I disabled "snooze" on the watch because that sabotages me. The app freezes, and the watch won't stop shocking me and vibrating, so I just have to take it off and bury it under a pile of clothes (it vibrates VERY loudly). The app side of this system is just abysmal - unclear options, poor controls, and lots of freezing and issues. Very disappointed in the poor execution of a great idea. The watch works very well and gets me up without bothering my wife. 100% what I was looking for. The app needs some improvements. I'd love to have a widget to be able to set/check the alarm time - having to open up the app each night is tedious. I also love the "wake me back up if you sense I fall asleep after silencing the alarm feature", but without the watch having a sensor to tell if it's on my wrist, often I wake up, take the watch off to get into the shower, and it's on the counter buzzing and shocking away thinking I'm asleep. So instead I have to move around for 30 min before I can take it off and shower. I wish I could scan a QR code to say "yep, I'm really and truly up, you can disable the "wake me if I fall asleep" timer now.

Maybe a rude awakening but I woke up!
First day waking up with my pavlok, shock at 50% and on the inside of my wrist (I cant feel anything if I wear it like my watch on the outside) it woke me up! As others said it does feel cheap and the app could use some refining as it doesnt track steps or sleep like the app claims to do, but that's not what I bought this for anyways. I hate thatvi have to go into the app to manually sync the device to my phone every night since I have no use for wearing it through the day... maybe it keeps track of the time and scheduled alarms, idk. Haven't tested that out yet. Turning the alarms off is a little hassle so far because it doesnt automatically pop up on my screen like my other alarm apps so I gotta go find the app and open it up but long story short, wear ot on the inside of your wrist and it will probably wake you up

Download the app
Hi I just purchased the item and delivered it today. I tried to download the app to use it. I couldn’t find any app, I clicked on something but it’s not working. Can you tell me what that to do?
