Lovely sand! I used 3 bags for my 240l aquarium, which gave me a nice thick layer for my plants. It's a bright off-white colour, so beware, as it shows every speck of fish poop. It looks really nice, and it really brightened up my aquarium. My corys absolutely love it. It took a lot of rinsing before the water ran almost clear because it's very dusty, but It settled pretty quickly. I used baking paper so stop the water from kicking the sand up everywhere when refilling my aquarium, then used the hose to gently swish the sand bed around to give it a more natural look, so it wasn't too flat. The water was a little bit cloudy for about 12 hours, then back to it's usual crystal clear. I think this is great value for money, it's much cheaper than you'd pay in an aquatic shop, where you'd easily pay £7+ for a measly 2kg bag. I'd definitely buy it again. Especially when it's in stock for same day delivery.

Excellent! I Put it in my tank after rinsing thoroughly, filled up the tank with water ( I used a thick layer of Foil to cover the sand while I filled it up ) and turned on my heater, filter and lighting. The tank cleared fully after 18 hours, and is now crystal clear. Thoroughly recommend.

Nice size for my shrimp aquarium, however these are not white as advertised in the photo, the product I received looks more like the Amtra Polychrome variety. They will do the job but won't achieve the clean, white look I was hoping for

I got this as a topper for my plant pots for decoration and to keep any of those annoying teeny flies away and was hoping there would not be too much sand to wash out like the previous time I bought something similar from this brand, but there was no sand at all. The water was clear when I washed the stones in a sieve which I was grateful for, I think it is because the stones are meant for fish tanks. The size is as I had hoped they would be, not too big or too small, and there were some nice different colours in the bag so not all of them were white.

La he comprado para un acuario de ciclidos del Malawi. Me informé en diversos foros especializados y se recomendaba la arena de sílice utilizada para filtros de piscina como opción mucho más económica que la arena disponible para acuarios en centros especializados. Busqué la dichosa arena para filtros en grandes superficies.. centros de jardinería.. etc.. pero la que encontraba me parecía muy oscura para mi gusto. Al final la encontré así de cerca, en casa y aún más barata gracias a Amazon Prime, y resultó ser blanca! Muy blanca! Yo encantado, y mis ciclidos más!

Excellent rapport qualité prix et le rendu dans l’aquarium est vraiment très beau. La granulométrie est parfaite, ça permet de nettoyer facilement avec une cloche et contrairement à certains sables trop fins il ne noircit pas.

Ho preso questa sabbia nera fine Amtra per un allestimento d’acqua dolce e il risultato visivo è immediato: il contrasto con piante e arredi fa risaltare tutto e l’acquario sembra molto più “pulito” e profondo. La granulometria fine è perfetta anche per pesci da fondo e per chi vuole un layout naturale; una volta sistemata resta stabile e non dà quell’effetto “ghiaia grossolana”. Consiglio comunque un buon risciacquo iniziale e di versarla con calma per ridurre intorbidimenti. Nel complesso, ottimo rapporto qualità/prezzo e scelta azzeccata se si vuole un fondale scuro elegante, semplice da gestire e adatto a diversi allestimenti.

Nice color. Rinsed it a couple of times, but the aquarium still stayed "cloudy" for about a day after filling it with water. Now its all clear and the aquarium looks really bright and nice. I would suggest getting 3 bags if you have a 200 liter aquarium.
