Q: How many blankets come with the 10kg tub?

I can't remember the exact number, but if you follow the instructions on the tub for the thickness of spreading the remover, enough blankets are included to cover this. When the chemical process is complete and you peel the blanket off, most of the remover seemed to stay on the wall to be (pretty easily) washed off later, so I managed to save a couple of blankets for re-use, and I have re-used them subsequently.

Q: How long does it take to work?

It depends on how many layers of paint there are,1-48 hours but generally overnight

Q: How much will i need for banister and spindles?

Rest Express - Wood Finishing Products: 1kg of Peelaway, applied 1-3mm thick, would treat around 1 square metre of surface area. We've found that when you wrap the blanket around things such as spindles you may need more than if it was just applied to a flat surface, so it may be worth getting a spare pack of blankets. Peelaway 7 is great for removing any modern paints and a number of layers at a time. My recommendation is to try a test area first and there is a sample pack available for this very purpose. The test area allows you to see if the Peelaway is suitable for your project but also to see how long you need to leave the poultice on for.
