Cramer repStick Alpine White - Tub, Sink & Tile Touch-up Paint

A year ago we had a plumber repairing a leaking toilet cistern in the bathroom and he put all his metal tools in the bath while he was working. Later we noticed that where his wrenches and spanners had been there were six or seven areas where the surface of the bath had been scraped, plus several scratches and chips all around the plughole area. This looked unsightly, but we didn't want to have the whole bath resurfaced or even a new bath because of a few scrapes. Then I found this product! It comes in a Tippex-like container and has its own brush. You simply shake it for 2 minutes and then paint it on the damaged areas. Several thin layers are best and it is easy to get just a small amount on the brush and dab it on where necessary. I found a good way to fill deeper chips is to dab a good blob of the paint on so that it fills the hole and then immediately wipe the excess off with some toilet paper. Although it looks a brilliant white when it is first put on, it darkens slightly as it dries so that you don't notice that it is there. The only downside is that you have to wait 4 days for it to really harden before putting hot water in the bath, but 4 days wait is better than buying a new bath. I was so pleased with the result that I put some on a cracked tile in our shower room and the crack is no longer noticeable, and I have also put some on a radiator where there was a small area of rust - which was easier than painting the whole radiator. There is a lot of the product and as you only use a very tiny amount at a time, it should last a long time (as long as the cap is screwed on tightly) should any future damage occur.

Used this for a small 3mm shallow chip in ceramic shower tray (black base showing through). Very easy to use - after cleaning and drying the area I just put a small drop of the stuff in the chip and it filled the cavity nicely. Colour was slightly different when wet but dried pretty much identical to the white ceramic. Left it for 24 hours to cure and since then have we used the shower daily as normal. The touch-up still in place after several weeks, but I reasoned that even if it did not last for very long, it would be simple to repeat the process. The stick is small but would do a small chip dozens of times.

This is very easy to use. I was a little unsure as to whether it would be adequate for my repair job but I applied 5 thin layers and it has given a much better result than a more expensive product I have used in the past. It is interesting to note that on the repair around the plug hole the colour is a pretty good match and I am very pleased with it but on the lesser damaged repair by the taps the colour has not matched in very well at all! But overall for the cost and ease of use this is a very good product

I have an enamel bath that was damaged in small areas by people dropping the shower head on it. This really has helped made it look really nice again. It does seem to wear off though, so I’ve had to reapply it but it is pretty easy to do although it really smells strong and you have to not use the bath for a good few hours. Has lasted a long time and I have plenty left for touch ups. I went to some bathroom shops looking for this and they tried to sell me something for £35 so I was pleased to find this on amazon

great value for money easy to use give it at least 24 hours to dry as it doesn't dry quickly it is thick and durable but use sparingly as it could get messy applying if you squeeze to much at one time.

Used this to fill a couple of fairly large scratches in the shower tray. Took several coats to cover the damage. The colour isn't quite the same colour as the shower tray but it's done the job. It's been a month since the repair and there has been no change to it, so all in all a pretty good solution. Can also be used to touch up scratches on cookers and washing machines etc.

Ich habe mir eine nagelneue Stahl Emaille Badewanne von Kaldewei eingebaut. Beim Anbringen der Duscharmatur ist mir der Schraubschlüssel so doof hingefallen, dass ich einen ca. 3-5mm großen Abplatzer der Emaille Schicht hatte. Gott, was habe ich mich aufgeregt!!! Die nagelneue Badewanne ist dahin...Natürlich gleich recherchiert, wie und OB man das überhaupt wieder sauber repariert bekommt.Dann bin ich auf diesen Artikel gestoßen und war zunächst sehr skeptisch, da doch viele behauptet haben, dass das Ergebnis nicht so toll sei und dass es nicht lange halten würde. Trotzdem habe ich es probiert, da man für das Geld ja nicht viel falsch machen kann.ZUM GLÜCK habe ich nicht auf die negativen Erfahrungen gehört, sondern habe meine eigene Erfahrung damit gemacht.Wichtig ist immer, dass man sorgfältig arbeitet! Das beste Produkt hilft nichts, wenn man es falsch verwendet oder die Vorarbeit nicht gründlich macht!Alle, die mit dem Produkt unzufrieden sind sind einfach Menschen, die kein handwerkliches Geschick besitzen und das nicht wahrhaben wollen und somit das miese Ergebnis auf das Produkt schieben.Nun, ich bin handwerklich geschickt und mache keine halben Sachen. Deshalb beschreibe ich euch es nun einmal, wie das Ergebnis PERFEKT wird und auch HÄLT!1. Kauft euch einen Dremel und schleift den Bereich, den ihr reparieren wollt gut an. Wichtig ist, dass ihr den Rost auf dem Stahl komplett beseitigt. Denn durch das Abplatzen der Emaille Schicht bildet sich sofort Rost. Das liegt in der Natur der Sache. Deshalb unbedingt so weit schleifen, bis der Rost zu 1000% weg ist.2. Reinigt die stelle mit Alkohol, am besten Isopropanol. Zwischen Schleifen, reinigen und Auftragen der Reparaturflüssigkeit sollte höchstens eine Stunde vergehen, da blankes Metall sofort wieder rostet.3. Nun schüttelt ihr die Flüssigkeit zwei Minuten lang kräftig! Dies ist ENTSCHEIDEND!4. Füllt entweder mit dem Pinsel, oder besser mit einem gebrochenen Zahnstocher vorsichtig die zu reparierende Stelle. Tragt so viel auf, dass eine leichte Beule nach Außen entsteht, DENN: Die Flüssigkeit zieht sich nach dem Trocknen stark zusammen. Wenn ihr es während der Reparatur exakt hinbekommen würdet, dass die Fläche eben ist, wird sich nach dem Trocknen eine Beule nach Innen aufweisen.5. Falls sich eine Beule nach Innen gebildet hat, so schleift ihr die durchgetrocknete Flüssigkeit wieder leicht an und füllt wieder auf.6. Nach 24 Stunden könnt ihr zu viel Material einfach mit 1000er Schleifpapier plan schleifen. Macht das so lange, bis man die Stelle mit dem Finger nicht mehr spürt. Anschließend 3 Tage abwarten und mit Autopolitur polieren.Wenn ihr die richtige Farbe genommen habt und exakt nach meiner Anleitung gearbeitet habt, werdet ihr dir Reparaturstelle nicht mehr finden! Selbst wenn man weiß, wo die Beschädigung war, sieht man es überhaupt nicht mehr! Ich habe es nun vor einem Monat gemacht und die Badewanne wird täglich mehrfach benutzt! Weder eine Abnutzung, noch ein Abrieb sind festzustellen. Dies liegt daran, dass die Stelle perfekt vorbereitet, entrostet und fettfrei gereinigt war.Fazit: Das Produkt wäre mir persönlich auch 100.-€ wert gewesen, da das Ergebnis fantastisch ist. Wenn man bedenkt, was es mich gekostet hätte, die Badewanne zu tauschen oder komplett neu zu beschichten, ist alles unter 100.-€ ein Schnäppchen!Vielen Dank an die Erfinder von diesem genialen Produkt! Ich hoffe zwar, dass ich es nicht mehr brauchen werde, werde aber zweifelsohne wieder zugreifen, sobald mir so ein Missgeschick noch einmal passieren sollte.
