Does as it says on the tin
A really good mixer โwithout any faff and unnecessary shiny bitsโ, and does what it says on the tin. Mixes really well, has 6 mixing speeds, removable mixer blades for dishwashing and is a very reasonable price. It is compact, easy to handle even for smaller hands and takes up little space in the draw/cupboard. I donโt know what else you need from a hand mixer, except someone else to do it for you maybe๐คท๐ผโโ๏ธ.

A good basic whisk
I have had this for a number of years now. It does exactly what is needed and was good value for money for a no frills whisk. This is a pretty basic whisk (I did not need or expect anything more) so looks fine but nothing special. The whips get put in the dishwasher so clean really easily and the cord of the whisk is easily wrapped to neatly store. Very easy and logical to use and understand. Not too bulky to store.

Only lasted 12 months before breaking very disappointed

Disappointing
The mixer arrived and had obviously been opened previously, as the inner packaging was crumpled, as was the instruction booklet. Luckily, before weighing my ingredients into a bowl I decided to test the mixer, only to find that the eject button does not work! Also, the connection of the lead to the mixer is quite basic and, in my opinion, will soon break with constant use. I am therefore returning the mixer and would not recommend it, as I consider it to be of inferior quality. At the end of the day, "you get what you pay for".

Cheap and Cheerful
I am writing this prior to really testing it because I am suspicious I have been sent a "return" by Amazon!!!!!! Box not sealed, inner packaging shredded, no twist tie on cable, no plastic pin cover on plug. What would you think????? Anyway, I stuck the, very short, beaters in the machine and switched it on. As other users have said, the slowest speed is very fast so maybe icing sugar is out (My big Kenwood can do it and will freeze what's left). I only really use a hand mixer to throw together a Vic Sponge if unexpected visitors, whip cream or egg whites for souffle etc., otherwise I use my stand mixer, especially for bread etc.. It was cheap and will do the job. The motor is small so not expecting miracles. Will update once I have used it a bit. Only bought a cheaper as my old one died yesterday. It was a Moulinex (don't even know if they are still on the go?) and the receipt was in the box from 1989!!!!! I think I had my money's worth from that one!!!!! It was a good friend all those years so this has some living up to do!!!!!!

Waste of money!
Bought this item recently and have had it for less than 1 week. On the first use, there was a weird smell but it did the job and I assumed I had used it on the wrong speed, especially as it was new. I was making 12 queen cakes! I used it for the second time yesterday, again for a batch of 12 queen cakes and using on the lowest setting, it burned out halfway through mixing. Seems like very poor quality and not fit for it's basic purpose!
