Great thread storage.
This is a great storage for your cottons, holds lots and keeps them far enough apart to still be able to see colours clearly. If i were to suggest a minor design tweak, it would be to make the box, and the posts, 6mm or so deeper so matching machine bobbins you have wound can be stored on same post as main spool. Its ok with older style spools, the short fat type, but more modern gutermann, coats moon, etc are too tall to add the bobbin as well. However, this is NOT a complaint, only a suggestion. The box is sturdy, well made, the clips feel secure and like the will last, and being able to life the racks out is useful too. Highly recommend!

Ideal for small overlocker reels.
Very pleasing storage unit. After reading reviews about the sticky label being impossible to get off I had decided to leave it on. I just couldn't do it though as it hadn't been stuck on quite straight - how annoying is that! There is a knack to get it off with not leaving too much residue but it does involve having nails. If you pick a bit of the edge up - enough to get hold of and tear a piece off - and stop! Don't tear a piece off but pick some more until your picked area/depth is twice as big as you originally thought was good enough to tear off. Then carefully tear and for some reason a chunk of the label will come off not leaving a layer of paper and/glue. Repeat until the label is off. Its not perfect but only left a small amount of residue to have to use chemicals on. The box is bigger than I anticipated and so I will have to start sewing more to fill it up!

holds threads securely
Holds all my threads securely. I have them arranged by colour so they are easy to find and no unravelling. Strong box with good carry handle, I use gutermann thread which fits perfectly

Great for most threads.
I like these enough to have just bought a second. They’re great for Gutermann 100m & 1000 as well as the Coats Moon 1000s. They struggle with the Starlite spools as they’re slightly shorter and wider. You can put them in but you wouldn’t be able to use every pin. The box is robust and doesn’t open when the clips are on. I feel they’re a bit on the expensive side for a plastic thing at £14. I have removed a star because basically you won’t be able to get the sticker off during your own lifetime. I have no idea why they can’t put a sticker on that can actually be removed in less than 367 pieces. It drives me mad. Rant over. It’s better than the spoil racks as nothing gets dusty and you can pop it under the table to protect from light damage which you can’t with a rack. I haven’t found a better option yet and aside from the sticker I do find these very good.

spacing and length
I have been looking for a storage solution for my spools and matching bobbins. I wanted something that I could seal up....the usual pronged stands either hang on the wall or take up desk space and I did not want either of these options. This seemed to match what I wanted. And to a large extent it does. It seals firmly and I can put it on its side without the spools/bobbins falling out. If you place it with handle at the top, the base is designed so it stands upright and not at an angle. The catch and handle is a different colour (greyish beige) than the translucent white plastic of the rest. The two trays with prongs are removable and white in colour....the material is more brittle than the rest. There are 5 rows of prongs in each tray...with the middle row of each being off-set from the other 4 rows. Do the spools fit?......Yes and no.....if you have thread spool huggers...then no you have to leave spaces between spools. Are the prongs long enough to have spool and bobbin on the same prong?...No, if you put the bobbin on first, then the spool and bobbin is too high and the lid won't close. If you put the spool on first, the prong does not extend over the spool. So either way, the bobbin has to sit next to the spool on its own prong. This means that the box can't be accidentally inverted....when it's upside down, mostly the spools stay put but the bobbins don't. Will I return it?.....No, it does most of what I want for this set of outlining threads. Will I buy another?...No, when I tried it with my Gutterman threads, the niggles were still there. For it to work more effectively it needs to have longer prongs with a consequently slightly deeper depth to the box and it needs to have a larger spacing of prongs, so larger spools/spools with thread huggers can be accomodated. All in all, it's designed by someone who does not sew and who did try to fit the design brief.....but just missed enough to irritate.

Cotton organiser, art box etc
Love this box, i am now able to keep all my cottons in one place. I love the idea of the inserts x 2, so you can lift the cottons out and place them on the table. It keeps them tidy. You could also store other items in the box by removing one of the inserts, but i love it as it is, you can carry this from room to room without doing any of the cotton, you can also stack these if you had several of the boxes. I've deducted a mark for the clips, i think they should be a little bigger and the snap fastener stronger. Apart from that i love the box.

Spool storage case
I've always stored my spools away in shallow drawers or on open spool holders, but decided in order this to keep them dust and fluff free. If honest though, I'm disappointed as I thought I would be able to store all sizes and widths of spool and that the distance between the upright prongs would be of varying widths. I started to fill it with my very well known brand of machine Embroidery threads but they didn't easily fit side to side, so I still had to either squeeze/ram them on, risking the plastic prong breaking, or alternate them with another well known brand which are of a slimmer spool. Also, you cant see the colours that easily either if they are all of the less slimmer size... I like the fact its portable, as I did have a previous case which held the spools sideways so the colours were clearly visible, but that one wasnt easily portable. I will keep it, as cant be bothered to return. All it needs is the inner removable spool prongs to be redesigned and reconfigured to take all spool widths easily.

I love this thread storage satchel. We have a lot of mice in the house (working on that!) and this thread box works well. I had another one that had two sides for thread and not only did it hold fewer spools they always fell out and the box didn't stay shut. This one locks nicely and the thread spools stay put, clean and mouse free. Very sturdy. It may seem a bit pricey but it is worth it.

B. 400m Madeira) kriegt man sogar zwei Stück übereinander.

I used to keep my thread in an organizer that was too small and they were always getting mixed up. Now I can arrange by colour. I have more than the box is made to accept but you can fit the smaller spools in between others, so I probably managed to get 100 spools in. And when you close the lid, you can take it on the road and the spools stay fit. It seems expensive but it is well made and fills a need so I don’t regret it at all.
