Dijon cream painted furniture large granite top kitchen island unit worktop by Oak Solution

This is an absolutely beautiful kitchen island. Lovely oak surrounding a grey-speckled black granite centre on top. This unit is a very heavy weight, and will stay put where ever it is placed. I looked at a lot of other kitchen island units on the internet, and this was definitely the best one to be found.The 'cream' colour is near perfect match for my Howdens kitchen units in 'Antique White', it is just an ever-so-slightly peachy cream rather than a greenish tint. However, that is negligible, and I am very happy with it.Edited to add: The two double 'false drawers' on each end are each actually one large drawer which slides out through to the other side of the unit. These are good deep drawers. Ditto for the center doors on either side of the unit, which access the same good-sized space inside. There is one shelf in the cupboard. Plenty of room for storage of bulky items.

This island is excellent value for money, we had enquired at our local kitchen shop for an island and for one the same size as this we were quoted £5000. Our main need was for extra worktop space in the kitchen and this provides this, the extra drawers and cupboard are an added bonus. The top is granite with wood surround with a seal between, so no ledges for crumbs to collect. The quality is good and we should get plenty of years use from it. Unfortunately the overall experience was let down by the delivery, only one man and access to our house is not very easy. Because of this the unit suffered some damage on the towel rail at one end. I raised an issue via Amazon with the company and then spoke to Miles who dealt with the issue promptly offering a replacement unit or discount on the price, we went for the discount. Thank you Miles for the straight forward way that you handled the issue, I wish other companies were as responsive as this.

Really love this item - fits nicely into my kitchen. Quality of item is excellent. My reason for not giving 5 stars is around the delivery, it stated in the advert that free delivery to the room of choice. The reality was delivery by one man who would require assistance into house, as I live by myself and this item is very heavy I could not help. The company did reassign the delivery to a 2 man team it, it cost me a further £50 for this.

We have a Howdens kitchen and the island is a near perfect match. It looks absolutely superb in our kitchen and is fantastic value. The door handles were missing, but have been posted out to us. The drawer,cupboard space,wine and tray racks are all very useful spaces. Would highly recommend

For the price it’s lovely! I had gone to kitchen specialists that were quoting ridiculous amounts!Had to wait 2 months, but I think it’s because I ordered the cream one!Nevertheless, really pleased with it - just be aware that you may as well pay for the two man delivery, and you may need two of you to unpack it.

Really love this island , great value for money , very sturdy , delivery was earlier than expected, delivery guys were great the island was to big to go through the patio doors , they unpacked it outside even though it was pouring with rain at 7am in the morning .

I bought this to increase the kitchen top area. The built and design are excellent. The vendor promptly replace the first one with a cracked marble top. Overall hundred percent satisfied.
