Are these CE certified or marked? Or are these cheap Chinese products that may catch fire

I've looked but cannot find the instructions that came with it so not able to answer whether or not CE marked but have used this light almost every night since buying and is fixed under the cabinet where my kettle is and has not been affected by the steam as enclosed and is certainly not hot to the touch. During the winter I would say it is on constantly from about 3.30 until almost 11.00 there has been no time when I've been concerned about it. Very pleased with it an easy to install.

Can this be wired into a lighting circuit fused at 5 amps

Absolutely. Mine is actually wired into cooker circuit but with a 5amp fuse box between, then a switch so that all 4 cabinet lights come on together. The main lead that comes with the light has a 13amp plug on which you can cut off as it’s NOT a transformer plug. The light units themselves are 240volt, not 12volt as some are, so are much more convenient.

Can this item be hardwired ?

Yes, chop the plug off and away you go. Mine are hardwired into smart controllers for Alexa integration.
