Excellent quality and replaced a split plastic one. Screwed this one onto the outside tap and connected the hose, turned the tap on and not a single leak, very well made, almost a work of art. Worth the money, highly recommend this product.

Very sturdy, being metal and has to have a longer lifespan than the plastic version that's included with the Hozelock hose reel. However, the washer isn't the correct size, causing water to leak out from the fitting. I tried swapping it with the one in the plastic version that came with my Hozelock hose reel and it fitted perfectly, with no leakage.

Night and day difference in quality over a standard plastic tap connector, for little difference in cost to buy. This Hozelock metal tap adapter looks and feels it would last a nuclear war, such is the quality and feel; certainly much longer lasting than its predecessor plastic counterparts. Great fit, alongside containing an additional plastic adapter for 1/2” BSP taps over the standard 3/4” taps it’ll fit directly.

Since this purchase I am using these connectors only and no other. Longevity, durability and precision of manufacturing are there to make perfect connection every time without leaks.

I have standardised on Hozelock hose and fittings after replacing an ancient hose pipe that had given decades of service. It may have been unnecessary, but I bought this metal hose connector to use instead of the plastic one that came with my new hose reel. So far it works well being easy to install with a good seal.

I bought this tap connector to leave permanetly attached to the outside tap in my back garden. I was annoyed with plastic tap connectors perishing after being left outside over the winter. I had the unfortunate feeling of the equivalent plastic models crunching in my hands all too many times. I wanted a permanent solution, and this metal option is truly one of the times when you will buy once and not regret it. I have left this on my outside tap for approx 6-7 years now and it still looks as good as the day it was delivered. If you were to ever get a few drips leaking then a quick application of PTFE tape would solve the issue in less than a minute. Plenty videos on Youtube that show the correct technique to apply it (who would have known there is a technique!). A worthwhile investment and I believe this will last for many years to come!
