LLOYTRON ‘Sports’ 3 Band Personal Sports Radio with Earphones – Integral Fold Flat Carry Handle - Telescopic Antenna - Earphone Socket - Rotary Controls – Tuning Window - Battery Powered – N736 – Black

You must accept that this is a very cheap, tiny radio. That said, initially it works well on all three frequency bands (FM,MW,LW) with quite reasonable quality sound considering. It is also supplied with earphones & runs off 2AA batteries. How long it will last, who knows, but seems very good for the price.

This a brilliant little radio, well designed, at a very reasonable price and a pleasure to hold. It does everything required of a small Fm/Am radio with good sound as well. The only drawback for me with ageing hands is that the controls are so flush to the frame that is a real fiddle to operate unless you have nimble fingers. This feature was probably designed intentionally so that the settings don’t wander about when the radio is bucketing around in you pocket, and in this way it is very efficient. In spite of this difficulty for me I am delighted wit it. It is useful about the house and gets tucked up with me in bed. Highly recommended.

Great little radio, small and easily transported about. Just the ticket if you want a small radio like they were before everything went digital. You can pick up 3 different wavelengths FM, MW and LW and takes 2 batteries, comes with a long pull out aerial.

Never expected a LLOYTRON product to be other than cheap skate and I was not disappointed in that view. To be fair having LW for Radio 4 as a feature that is almost dropped from most transistor radios is a big plus.Overall, it works fine with tinny low sound on LW a very hiss but MW for Radio 5 comes in a lot better than I expected (I'm in Ireland so need MW for R5).It does mark R4 , R5 and Talk Sport on the dial but they are a bit off but manageable. The control dials are recessed so I'd think it a bit tricky for older folk.It runs a long time on rechargeable AA batteries so as a stop gap, muck about radio I'm happy with it.For good quality sound Sony still make mw/lw/fm radios but you'll pay 3 times this price.--- updateBought a 2nd one and quality varies , this one MW is tricky to get with a slider but LW is much better. Sound is low as I use 1.2V recharge batteries but fine for bedtime and last a long time between charges. For the pric, understanding the limitations, it is a very good buy even the earphones are good.

I bought this radio in April and it’s now cutting out all of the time and the sound is very weak. Before you say it, yes I have changed the batteries.Shame as when I first got it it was fine, although not very loud.I have looked to try and contact seller but given up, so I guess I’ve lost £10.

Good sound

Cheap, but does exactly what you expect it to. Works fine on all bands. Came with earphones, which was a bonus. Would recommend.

Verrrry hard to find radios with LW tuning nowadays, which is specifically why I bought this model. I wasn’t expecting it to sound wonderful but unfortunately it actually sounds terrible!! Extremely tinny and harsh sounding compared to my long time bathroom use trusty Roberts Sports 925 (I have the old style one that does have LW as well as MW/FM). The Roberts 925 sounds SOOOOOO much better than this: I’d suggest if you don’t NEED Longwave then 100% get the Roberts instead. Current versions of the Roberts 925 don’t have LW but it’s an all around much better radio than this Lloytron in both sound and tuning.Reception of Radio 4 on long wave is poor for me on the Lloytron as is also 5Live or Talksport on MW. Shame, but it’s just not a very good radio so is being returned 🤷‍♂️☹️

Eigentlich alles was man braucht.Sender laufen nicht weg, es ist wertig verarbeitet, was will man mehr ?Klare Kaufempfehlung.

Schade.Quite nice, but unfortunately only FM works. MW produces only noise. On LW I can hear a single station, but so weakly that you can't even identify the language. Too bad.
