Surprisingly emotional
There were times when reading this, that I wasn't sure what I was feeling. I've never been a huge Bane fan as I don't think he's ever really been fleshed out as a character beyond, "He's strong and had a horrible upbringing". This issue didn't change that per say and did follow some well trodden tracks when it came to comparing Bane and Batman. However, by the time I got to the end I realised that I'd just read a Batman story I never thought I would; a truly honest depiction of Batman, the man, unable to solve one of life's biggest problems...how do we keep going when we don't want to anymore. Reading this conversation was one of the high points in any Batman comic I've ever read and one that took me by surprise. Recommended for anyone who thinks there's nothing left for the Dark Knight to teach us.

Simply put, Brilliant
Batman Rebirth has been excellent and one of the reasons I continue to read graphic novels. The writing and artwork is fantastic, Bane is one of my all time favourite Batman villains, the perfect combination of strength and intelligence.

A Truly Gripping Story
As an abid fan of Bane and Batman, this book was glorious. A great story made all the more inclusive because of the art style. The perfect continuation of the Batman Rebirth series.

Mixed bag of interesting ideas and frustrating out of character moments
Tom King has some interesting ideas and there's a lot of cool stuff to appreciate here (not least of which the art work which is consistently solid) but there's some silly tonal issues, out of character moments from Batman in particular that make you shake your head if you are very familiar with the mythology.

This is where it gets good
Wasn't sure about Kings run in the first two trades, but it kicks up a gear from here on. Excellent comics

Okay At Best
It was okay at best. After reading New 52 Batman by Scott Snyder(my favorite run of Batman), Rebirth Batman is lacking. I was expecting alot more but ended up with little. You definitely need to be catching up on Rebirth Batman to understand this one because trust me, it'll be confusing if you don't.
