Fantastic for the price
This was exactly what I wanted - I was tempted to go for the next model up but in fact this does exactly what you want it to do. Although the instructions looked a little scary it was very easy to put together by myself, all the little bags so clearly labelled Step 1, Step 2 etc. with the right tools in there it took me about 20 mins in total. A good tip for those who report getting the rubber handles on the bar - a tiny smear of olive oil on the bar and the slip right on really easily (don't put too much on as they might slip off when using). I was a little scared when I first used it but the resistance was set on the top setting (12) and I thought this would be too hard (it isn't). A fantastic bit of kit for the price, would highly recommend. It won't make you an Olympic rower but it will help tone and get you in shape. Very happy with this purchase. It scans and tells you calories burnt (always disappointing), number of strokes, time and the only thing I wish it showed was distance but that is a tiny issue that does not detract from how good it is overall. Easy to use, uncomplicated and will help you reach your goals.

But I can manage a better length of pull if I don't use the footrests ...
Machine OK , but is suited to someone of average height and weight. I am over 70 and only 5ft tall and cannot achieve the full pull length, whereas another reviewer said that with his long legs he could not fully extend them - so you need to be average! But I can manage a better length of pull if I don't use the footrests - I put my feet just in front of them. It all needed to be assembled, which wasn't made clear, and I was glad I didn't have to do it myself. It needs about 2ft or so wide space to store it vertically. My husband couldn't get the rear support to fold inwards for storage, but it wouldn't make much diff as the other end is wider anyway. I can lift and move it to position, but wouldn't want to have to carry it too far. It does what it says on the tin - lightweight, useful at home, and priced accordingly, but don't expect something comparable to rowing machines used in a gym.

FAB! Fantastic value and quality!
Only just got this, takes a little while to put together but okay if you really read the instructions! Lovely big padded seat, machine itself has adjustable resistance and nice comfy handles. Screen okay to use, but does show calories and time etc which is good. Back leg folds under when 1 screw is removed to lie flat. Nice and streamlined and very easy to use. Very impressed with the speed of delivery and the quality of the item, looks like it could easily be ยฃ100++. Definitely would recommend. - top tip, applying 1 of the foam handles is really hard as it sticks, just add a bit of liquid soap to the handle to help it slide along, otherwise youโll be there a while!!

Good for a beginner
Some background: I'm a 5'6" woman. I'm overweight at 90kg, but I've been running for the past 8 months and have a BMI of 27. My digital scales tell me the majority of my weight is muscle, but I still don't feel that fit! The first thing to note is the equipment was very easy to put together and though rudimentary, the electric measure tells you everything you need to know and is easy to navigate. It's not clanky at all - everything fits flush, unlike a few other (sometimes more expensive) pieces of equipment we own! There are 12 settings for strength: I initially used 6 but quickly realised to get a real workout I needed to use 10/11 at least. I'm yet to go particularly fast so there is definitely room for an increased workout despite this. The downside of the lack of resistance is although I worked 40 minutes, I only burned 160 calories. I was hoping to burn a lot more! Like I say though, I wasn't going very fast, so I think this is partly my fault. All in all this rower is definitely suitable for anyone of any age, so long as they're not already particularly fit/into rowing.

Cheap yet effective (if you're under 6ft)
This was really easy to assemble and a great price. I'm 5'7" and 10 1/2 st. and a beginner . It's sturdy, not that loud and has a good range of pressures to push you and help give you more overall strength and fitness. I don't have any prior knowledge on the machines and other options but it's great for me. I recommend it.

A great buy for all heights!
When I first got this I wasn't impressed, it was packaged with so many parts and screws, it was the last thing I needed, as I'm totally unfit and even getting on this was going to be a challenge. However, I read the helpful instruction guide and luckily the screws and small parts came in individual bags with each step numbered, so that really helped. I managed to put it together correctly in about 30 mins. I'm a female size 10 and my height is 5'3 and it's fine for me and much taller people. I did use on a rug in my lounge with wooden floors, however it moved the rug around, so I definetly recommend usage on carpet with a rug as it can leave dents in the carpet. First use I found it very hard to honest, but although there's not different settings, you can slightly unscrew two screws and it's a bit easier. It did say in the instructions not to screw them too tight, so I then learned why. If unfit like me start with about two minutes and progress daily. I feel it works my legs, arms and upper trapezius which is what I needed. I'm gutted to see its now reduced it price, but even at the price I paid it was worth while. Don't be put off by the many parts, it's suitable for all levels and heights. The sit it padded and quite comfortable. It's not foldable, it's as seen in the picture. Having out beside my bed is good for me as it reminds me to go on it. Over the years I've had many exercise bikes that I never used, but I am using this. I did row many years ago at school though. A great buy! The monitor does tell you various things, however I don't really use that. Highly recommend and attached pictures to hopefully help with assembling

Alright for the money
Okay, so at ยฃ60 odd it's not going to be the most amazing piece of kit, and for what you get it is pretty reasonable. Good points: - Easy to put together - Tucks away nicely in the corner of my room - Smooth action - Quiet Bad points: - Rubber grip is impossible to slide over the handle bar. Ripped it twice. While the result is only cosmetic it is a bit disappointing to have part of the product ripped before I finished assembling it. - It is not very long. This means that I cannot complete a full extension and therefore effectively work my lower back and abs. If you are 5'10" or over I would recommend getting a different machine. - Don't get much of a workout even at the highest setting, and I'm not exactly fit! Overall: If you are looking for a discrete piece of kit that will put together easily so you can do some light cardio at home then this is the right product for you. If you are looking for a more serious workout or are above average height then look at a different model.

Waste of money.
This product gets one star because its "cheap", and generally you get what you pay for. The row bar doesn't end up mid section, but in your groin/top of leg area, which doesn't feel right at all. Seat is hard. Main problem...which makes it pretty useless is that 30 seconds of fairly vigorous rowing the friction causes warmth and so the hydraulic action slackens right off becoming pointless. I am a woman in my 50's, so don't even consider if you are male, younger or fitter! I think the positive feedback on this product must be from people either in their 80's or are having a nap after every 5 rows.
