Rather than cut it, can it be folded over to create a half metre high strip?

It was to long for us so we bed the ends over I would say cutting might be better but bending should be ok you might just need to zip wire it or staple it. But looks great!

I would say no, it is wire mesh on the back and comes in a roll so you would need supporting posts going across the top and bottom. I will say that I am very pleased with mine but they are attached to an already existing fence. I hope this helps.
