SEVERIN TRAVEL STEAM IRON BA 3234 / silver - blue, 1000W, 50ml water tank and foldable handle

After a lot of research into which travel iron was actually worth purchasing, I settled on this Severin travel iron and I'm pleased I did. I've used my Severin travel iron in both the Canary Islands and in Mexico without fault. Of course it's not a full sized iron and it won't give exactly the same results as a full sized iron but it does in my opinion, do a great job. I even occasionally use it at home as I actually find it a little easier to use for certain items than my full sized iron. When it arrived I was fully expecting the iron to be fitted with a Euro plug but it actually came with a standard UK 3 pin plug. I was quite happy with that as it means if there's a electrical surge and the fuse blows then I can replace the fuse. All in all, a great little purchase and it actually irons clothes really well.

This little iron is a mini version of a big iron. My boyfriend tried to stop me from buying it as he thought travelling irons were useless. We went on holiday and he has used it more than I have!!!!!! He couldn’t believe how good it is. It just irons like a normal iron. It’s very small, foldable, easy to pack and really light. BEST LITTLE IRON EVER!!!!!!!!!!!

I travel extensively and iron my clothes on demand so never iron my clothes when I leave home for vacation. I use to carry a full size iron at times. This iron is brilliant so portable, compact and the steam is brilliant. No clothes a problem to iron. It has a uk plug so just use an adapter when overseas and your on your way. I would never leave home without it. The best travel iron by far

I bought this for dressmaking as I make clothes for children so needed something smaller than a standard iron. It’s shape is perfect for what I need as can get into the difficult areas with ease. I already have a dressmaking iron, which is both small and lightweight, but doesn’t have the benefit of the very pointed front, which is what I needed and it’s reservoir capacity was frankly ridiculous, this iron has a much bigger water reservoir meaning it can keep steaming for much longer It heats and steams quickly and very well. It has one design flaw as far as I can see so far and that is the steam on and of switch, it’s stiff and difficult to operate, but otherwise it was exactly what I was looking for. Ideal for dressmaking and I’m sure would be an ideal travel iron too.

Bought it to go to Australia and New Zealand for a couple of months. Used it at home so far to test it out and it is by far the best travel iron we have ever had, and we have had quite a few. Slightly heavier than the previous one but not too heavy to make a great difference. Happy so far.

I bought this to take on holiday. It is a super little iron, behaves like a larger iron in that it steams properly and easily gets rid of creases. It comfortably went in the bottom of my case and I am delighted with my purchase

Updated - not worth the money used a few times and now unusable as in line with other reveiws, throws the trip switch each time I try and use it. Waste of my cash as now had to buy an alternative to it. Sad as it was really good the 4 times I used it! Bought for a sewing room, as no room for full size iron and after reading many travel iron reviews (thanks to those who took the time to leave reviews,) I plumped on this one. It is a really good iron. I have used it to iron on applique to a tea cosy I am making, and it gets really hot and lets out a lot of steam. I would almost go as far as to say it is as good as our full size iron.) I have also used it to iron some material, and it gets all the creases out without issue. It doesn't hold much water, and one negative it comes with the smallest ironing jug, like you would put in a dolls house, in fact it could belong to Barbie and Ken! I am using an old fuller size one I had which is much better as when using the steam function, it does use water quickly, so using large jug, means more water on hand. With the one that comes with it, you'll be tripping to the tap regularly. The handle folds down making it compact for storage and because it is a travel, it doesn't take up much room. I am storing it in one of my sewing boxes once it has cooled down. It has dual voltage, so ideal for travelling, it has steam button and the usual heat settings found on full size irons. What I also like is the length of the cable on this. So many times iron cables are so short, this one is plenty long enough to be used without worry of pulling the cable tight.

Lätt och smidig! Använder den till vardags. Behöver inte ångfunktionen utan strycker tvätten när den är lite fuktig istället.

Je suis bluffée! J'ai acheté ce fer à repasser 'de voyage' de la marque bien conue qui à un moment donné à utilisé la chaine Lidl, donc un produit sûr 'made in Germany'! Je ne l'ai pas acheté pour le voyage mais de l'avoir à côté de moi quand je faisais de la couture des petits articles donc il devait être quand même assez petit mais aussi performant...et wow, il fait un merveille et dépasse mes attentes! La semelle en inox brillante à beaucoup des trous pour laisser échapper les jets de vapeurs super puissants en utilisant le réglage 'vapeur'. Cela sera parfait pour defroisser les vêtements à la vertical et en deux deux! Pour le temps de chauffer s'est quasiment immediat donc attention lol! Pour le voyage, il à son poignet abattant pour le mettre dans sa valise mais je ne mettrais pas dans ce catégorie de 'fer de voyage', malgré le faite que le poignet s'abaisse, sauf vous avez besoin d'un fer pour rendre impeccable vos habits pendant vos voyages/déplacements...pour moi il est trop performant pour cela...tant mieux alors car il est juste au top!
