Works well. Not louder unless there’s some bubbles. Otherwise 7 feet from me in my office and rarely hear it ever.

broke within a couple of uses I think the diaphragm broke because it stopped pumping. I know it doesn't pump much to begin with but it stopped all to gather

These replacements for the Aqua Lifter pump have a problem with air bubbles getting into the output line. I got one a few weeks ago to pump water into a UV filter and noticed air bubbles coming out of the output tubing. There were no air bubbles near the intake tubing. I figured there was some air trapped in the diaphragm of the pump so moved it around to try to flush out the air. After several days the bubbles were still there. I'm thinking the diaphragm has a pinhole leak or a leaky connection. I returned the pump to Marine and Reef and they quickly sent out a replacement. Great service. I tried the new pump and it has the same problem. It pumps water, but I expect that over time the flow will gradually decrease. I have one original Aqua Lifter pump left so I put that on the UV filter. After 5 years of intermittent use, it still pumps flawlessly.

I love this pump. I have it setup to top off my water every day for 4 minutes using an Apple Homekit power plug. Super easy to setup and really does a great job. Just make sure one line is tacked up higher so when the pump is turned off the water does not continue to siphon out into the tank. Take a look at my video for setup tips.
