Great Little sensor - but requires calibration
These are great little sensors, the quality is good and they seem durable. Not tested long enough to comment on lifespan. They need to be calibrated because their accuracy is +-5% at least. That is not a problem though, so as long as you "trim" them in your software they will be fine. Great for project and hobby projects. I would not recommend for serious, precision, or accurate measurements. My advice is to setup all five when you get them, and compare to an accurate known temperature (or take an average of readings), and then tag each sensor with a label that you can write the trimming information on. Then each time you use them you don't need to calibrate them. They all look identical so you need to label them (there is no visible numbers or serials or anything)

these work fine.
These work really well, used them in an Arduino project on my camper van to monitor both the external temperature and the internal temperature in a couple of places so I could take an average to control the onboard heater.Using the single bus interface means that you can hook up as many of these as you want to a single input on the Arduino. Each sensor has it's own unique ID so you can address each one individually to read the temperature. Using the DallasTemperature Arduino library, these work fine.

Very Good
So easy to program on the Raspberry Pi - just enable one wire. I used two with a Raspberry Pi Zero to take readings of my boiler flow and return temperatures over a 24 hour period at 1 minute intervals. I taped the sensors to the pipes to do that. They worked just fine and I now have a nice chart to show the plumber that the boiler flow isn't getting as hot as it should.

great product at a very good price
items arrived within time and in good condition. vgood value for money. all worked out of box and i have several that have been in operation for several months with no problems. one unit is outside the house paired with another inside the house as part of my pi based water-o-matic system. had problem with comms errors due to loading of their parallel connection. dropping the load resistor value fixed that. drivers r available for the pi so connection and use is more or less immediate. see w1_gpio and w1_therm. just use python and access via sys fs. the outside sensor is exposed to the elements (but not direct sunlight 8-) and gets wet, has been running 24/7 since 06/15 no probs yet. have a third unit inside a freezer and it has been merrily recording the -16.1C temperatures over the Christmas period (was not sure about the freezer and worried about the turkey). great products, useful to have as general stock in case you need to do some temperature monitoring.

Excellent, low cost, temperature sensors.
Excellent, low cost, temperature sensors - ideal for projects with Raspberry Pi or Arduino or similar. Nicely packaged and pre-wired with decent length tails. Fairly accurate too, without much disparity between the individual sensors in this pack either.

Weak cable
Sensors work great but the wire is so thin an poor when I crimp small connectors to them they often break. Have had to solder bigger gauge wire to them to crimp onto. A shame as the sensors are good and for an extra couple of pence some decent cable would.make all the difference.

Most of them worked
These sensors are well made and fully waterproof. There is hard sealant around the cable entry into the metal tube, then covered by a heat shrink like sleeve. Unlike some suppliers the cable ends are stripped and tinned but no crimp terminal. Four out of the five worked fine. The remaining one was recognised but responds with a fixed reading of 85C regardless. Hence only three stars. Still reasonable value.

Using these to record inside and outside temperatures using a Raspberry Pi.Get the latest raspbian and enable 1-wire, driver provides the temperature in the /sys/bus/w1/devices/28-xxxxxxxxx/w1_slave file.I wrote a C program to parse the contents of the files and write the results to a file. They're a little larger than I expected (about 6mm diameter)
