LapBaby: Hands-free babywearing highchair, baby harness and weaning aid.

Great product, you can tell plenty of thought went into the design - for eg I love the little strap so that you can attach a toy for baby to play with without them dropping it every five seconds. I bought this to use during a long haul flight which was great as could fiddle with my phone etc while baby sat on my lap, but I also found myself using it when needing to eat meals when out with baby before he was ready to sit in his own high chair. Because of course you can only use it when baby can sit in your lap with support, and probably don’t need it once they can sit in a high chair, it’s not a massively long window of time that it’s useful for, but during that time it’s very useful!One minor criticism for those with big babies is it’s a bit of a struggle to get it around baby’s tummy as he’s huge for his age, would be great if the strap for baby was slightly longer. But if your baby is normal sized for their development stage I doubt this will be a problem.

What a help this LapBaby is. It was becoming quite difficult if we were going out to eat with our little girl as she was getting agitated at being in her pram if we were eating out and she is too small for a highchair yet, the LapBaby sorted this issue out. It clips around your waist with a sturdy buckle, you undo the velcro belt, sit your little one on your lap then wrap the velcro strap around her and secure with another buckle. There is a clip for a toy or dummy and also a cloth to go over the lap for any spills. This is comfortable, easy to use, either one of you can wear it and it leaves both hands free whilst keeping little one safe. This has been such a big help for when we're out or at home and certainly makes eating out a lot simpler.

It’s straight forward to use and a brilliant idea for wheelchair mummies like me, holds my 4 month old nice and snug but it’s a little too deep for him at the minute, it crumpled up under his arms After a minute. He will grow into it though and it should give us a lot more freedom. He is only 12lb at the moment so maybe he is smarter than the average? I’m not sure.

It seems easy to use but LO hates being strapped on lap, and he prefers to hop. The only problem I have is it smells strong plastic which stops me from using it, will need to wash it once and see if it will get better.

Really easy to use, just strap round yourself, sit baby on your lap and velcro round them. Baby (4 months) seemed happy with it too, and the loop to hang a toy is handy.Only downside is the velcro only connected by about an inch or so on my (admittedly 80th centile 15.5lb) baby, so I doubt it'll last more than another couple of months. Was really hoping it would make it to 8 months for our holiday, but I'd doubt it.

Really useful when in my wheelchair or on a scooter. Holds my 11 month old safely & comfortably. My only negative is that my baby is very small for his age yet has nearly outgrown it at 11 months - very disappointing as I’d hoped to use it until he was much older.

I'm afraid this was a bit of a folly purchase, bought on an overnight breastfeeding marathon as definitely The Answer To My Prayers. Alas it was not so - my 6 month old treated being constrained in my lap about the same way as she treats being constrained in a highchair: as an absolute outrage. Tomato sauce rightly poured all over my lap in protest.Will continue optimistically to try it, but think this is just one of those foolish sleep deprived purchases. I do have a particularly wriggly baby though.

single disabled mum of 3 under 5. This is great my only trouble is my spine hurts without a child on me so I can only use it for shot periods. I cant use the other carrier anymore but this one is still getting used.
