I would give this 10 stars if I could
I installed a new arm on my turntable a few days ago, precisely setting up the cartridge using arc protractor, digital scales and the Hi-Fi News test record. Viewing the stylus playing an album and also stationary on a mirror, it looked to be leaning very fractionally to one side so I decided to purchase this bubble spirit level to check 'azimuth' This weighs only 0.2 grams so by reducing downforce by this amount, the bubble level is small enough to sit centrally on the headshell whilst playing an LP and a visual check can be done at any point across the surface As I suspected, the bubble remained very slightly towards the centre spindle of the record so I re-set the tonearm with a curved shim to maintain alignment (3 cut pieces of post-it paper) under the left hand edge between tonearm and platter Re-aligning the cartridge has resulted in the bubble running dead centre so I now know that azimuth is spot on - it also confirms perfect VTA as my arm has a micrometer for fine adjustment up-down and I can do this for any record should I wish This is one of the most useful devices I have used in setting up a tonearm/cartridge and recommend this to anyone doing likewise

Brilliant!
If, like me, you are OCD about your turntable and things like VTA and Azimuth (if you don't know what that means, then move along please, this place is not for you) then this little gizmo is worth its weight in gold (which admittedly isn't much since it weighs about 0.4 grammes). The idea is you can put it on your headshell while playing a disc, so you can see the effects of your adjustments in real time. It is the easiest way I have found to get VTA and Azimuth spot on. Highly recommended! NOTE - do NOT drop the thing or you will never find it as it will roll somewhere and stay hidden for ever. Or your budgie will eat it, or something. This thing is TINY. About as big (and as heavy!) as a Birds Eye garden pea. After use, keep it safe in a tin or something.

Handy, accurate, compact cartridge alignment levels
These are very useful for setting vertical tracking on phono cartridges. Their lightweight means they are easy to offset with the counterweight whilst in use, so as to avoid loading the stylus too heavily and ending up with an inaccurate vertical height. Be sure to check that the top of the cartridge mounting area of the tonearm/headshell is parallel to the surface to which the tonearm mounts, and away you go - these will get guide you to getting the cartridge perfectly level - very fine adjustment can be made by ear at that point. Be sure to restore your original tracking weight value after removing the level.

level head
these are so small you could lose them they are good levels and you could do what i done and that is use double sided tape and you wont lose them plus you can always tell if it is level.

Do not buy this it's not fit for purpose
I should have taken on board the bad reviews, but thought it may be small & difficult to read & that I would use a magnifying glass if needed, it does not make a difference what level you place it on & will always read it's not level & the bubble will never be directly central & tell you otherwise, I tested it with 3 other correct sprint levels that are bigger & too big to place on my tonearm headshell, & the reading was never central, I've been buying from amazon for a number of years & never write reviews, but this overpriced piece of rubbish is not fit for its purpose, when I can find it, yes it's that's small I will be sending it straight back, so be warned do not buy it & save yourself the hassle & frustration
