A great starter kit
I never used other rotary tools - in fact, I'm new to this whole rotary tool thing, so take my review with a grain of salt and with understanding that I have nothing to compare it and don't have decades of experience with tools. This is overall a great set. Not perfect, but great.Good:- a storage box. Yes, this is important, because all of those drill bits and other stuff takes up space, so having a place to store everything at the outset is awesome- documentation. If you're new to everything rotary tools, it has a quick reference for RPM and types of materials you would use attachments for.- lots of attachments. This doesn't have every attachment out there, but it gets pretty close to that. If you want a set you can do pretty much anything with (bar some very specialized jobs), this is the one to get. The snake-like thingie is particularly useful for very fine jobs.- good variety. It doesn't have everything, but it has a lot to try out and decide what you want more of.Bad:- the box is cheaply made (it is not metal). The middle joint already prevents the box from closing, so I have to push it in every time. Retractable shelf is a nice touch but again, feels very flimsy.- lots of wasted space. Honestly, all this foam is using up space which could've been put to better use- light on accessories. It has a lot of attachments, but doesn't have nearly enough raw materials (grinding stones etc) in it to last a while. Get a cheap twenty quid box of Dremel-compatible accessories with your order.Overall, great value for money. It's a shame that the box isn't as good as it could've been.

Box of fun
This is great. The tool; I like to think I can do everything with it - I cant other than make lots of sawdust :). There are so many parts you can pop-on to do other jobs that you buy. It is a very decent tool for the everyday hobby / DIY folks like me. I do think that if you are a professional joiner for example a dedicated tool for a repeat task would suit you better (rebate joints for example).Box is good, it keeps everything together which is handy in a small one bedroom flat. The drawers on mine are a bit sticky after my niece pushed the box of the table and jumped on it, everything in the box still works great. So it took its hits and kept rocking.Very happy with this.

This kit is fantastic.
I put off for so long getting a Dremel as there were negative reviews. So I decided to ignore those and buy this kit. I am so glad I did, it has proved to pay for itself in many things to do with set up of guitars from polishing frets to precision lopping off of bits. If I have one gripe it was missing the wire brushes, not worth sending it back for that, I just bought more.

Really like this
Only really wanted the Rotary tool but when I saw this package I couldn't resist. The tool box is as good as tool boxes get. Had noticed a number of reviews complaining they couldn't fit anything in the drawers other than the supplied tools. I just took the foam out and I fitted in all of my model making stuff with ease. I live in a flat so have no workshop but now I have everything in one place so making stuff is very much easier. The rotary tool itself is spot on and the accessories are useful. Plenty of different bits too along with a good selection of expendables. Price wise it was luxury end and a bit steep but as a package it was just what I needed so I can live with that.

Wonderful case and kit
The first thing that immediately attracted me to this item was the case, and pictures really don't do it justice. It's made of aluminium and plastic, with 30mm thick internal fitted foam. The 8 corners of the case contain chrome brackets that are riveted in place, and the edges have aluminium right-angle extrusions which are also riveted. Not only does it look fantastic, it feels very solid without being too heavy or cumbersome. The end result is a very attractive, functional and rugged tool case. The case contains only one draw, which holds the right-angle attachment, the Shaping Platform, the Line and Circle Cutting Attachment as well as 2 empty plastic accessory storage cases. The draw locks into place when the top lid is closed, so it can't slide open while being carried. It can also be removed completely from the case by pushing a plastic tab on the hinge on each side of the drawer (one side has to be pushed up, the other side pushed down). The draw hinges are quality full length extension hinges (38mm wide) with ball bearings, so the action is solid and smooth. What I would have really loved is another drawer, or more cut-outs in the foam for other attachments as the case could hold a LOT more. But the top compartment does have storage room, so you could throw a few attachments in there. The case measurements are:435 mm (L) x 210 mm (H) x 220 mm (D).The top compartment holds the Dremel 4000, the Flex-Shaft Attachment, the Detailer's Grip and the Universal Cutting Attachment (AKA Multi Purpose Cutting Attachment 566).The kit is reasonably good value as you get 6 attachments and 128 accessories, which add up to be a fair bit. However, the attachments are at the cheaper end of the range and although 128 accessories sounds like a lot, and it is, it's made up of a lot of the cheaper sanding bands/discs.The tool and the attachments are standard, the only thing that's different in this kit is the case. So, there really isn't a need to review each attachment or the tool itself, numerous individual Amazon reviews are available.Except for one thing, it used to be the brushes on the Dremel 4000 could be accessed by simply unscrewing the two silver brush caps on each side with a slotted screwdriver. However, with the model I received there are no removable motor brush caps, as the brush caps aren't visible or accessible and are covered in the soft grip rubber body coating. All you can see is the outline of them, so to change the brushes you would have to unscrew the entire housing cover. It's not because this is a Limited Edition, as some of the "regular" versions also are the same as mine.Check out some videos or pictures and you'll see both types. So one is either an upgraded version, or for some reason it differs geographically.I'm in the process of contacting Dremel to find out, and if I do I will update this post. One other thing is that although the ad states you get a Dremel poster, I never received one.In summing up, although this is one of the most expensive Dremel 4000 kits available (it's the 2nd best kit ever released by Dremel), it's fairly comprehensive and the case is absolutely awesome. If you were going to buy a heap of attachments eventually, this is the kit to buy.Oh, and did I mention how great the case was?G'Day from Australia.

Top quality toolkit
Bought this for my wife as a Birthday present as her previous cheap multitool flexible drive failed and unable to get a replacement part.
