Russell Hobbs Glass Line Kettle, 1.7 Litre, 3000 Watt

I had this kettle before and I like it. I bought it because I wanted to force myself to clean it more often. I live in a hard water area. It needs to be cleaned every 2..3 days because of timescale but very easy. I put a white vinegar in and boil it at night and leave it. It is clear in the morning. I use the water to water the plants inside as vinegar is good for plants too. Most rewievs said it becomes misty. Mine did at first but not anymore. I do not know the reason.

A great looking kettle and feels nice quality but after just a couple of months use the lid release has started to get stiff presumably with hard water. I doubt it will make it to the end of the warranty. Excellent service from Amazon as usual

I bought this to replace a cheap kettle I had which leaked from the spout from the day I got it. This does not leak. It looks good and you can boil just the amount you need. I use filtered water as I live in a hard water area. So far the glass has remained clean and as new.

Have been looking at this kettle for so long and it’s much cheaper on amazon than other sites. It goes really well with my new kitchen and I’ve had lots of compliments about it. I really like the fact you can see the water boiling and the light!

At the end of the day the material quality in this is equivalent to their cheaper models (it's just plastic with a chrome look). The button to open the lid has a design flaw. After a few months it became stiff and it's often a little struggle to get the lid to open. Tried to figure out what caused it... calcium? But cannot see something obvious. Clearly it should have been designed to be more resilient.
