Used this Autosol paste on the metal boot liner in my car and was really impressed with the results. It was easy to apply and buff off, and it brought the metal back to a much cleaner, brighter finish, removing light marks and dullness.A little goes a long way, and the paste feels like a quality product. This metal polish works amazingly well! It removes tarnish quickly and leaves a brilliant shine on stainless steel and chrome. A little goes a long way, and the tube lasts for ages. Perfect for home use and for keeping bikes or kitchen items looking new. Highly recommend!

Use this as a general purpose metal polish around the house, its not the first time I've bought/used it, but it replaced some of the Peek brand which I picked up in the US, and I think Autosol is better.Used for a number of things I can recently think of..Wife has a couple of old Singer sewing machines that we are slowly getting back to use. They have some metal trim, Its been great to clean up the tarnish/oxidisation. Sometimes I've used a polling bit on a dremmel to get into the nooks and crannies.I shave with old style 'double edge' (or DE) razors, and they quickly get clogged up with dried shaving soap. Every now and again I give my current razor a good clean and then a polish up with autosol. I think they are chrome plated, not show chrome, more of an industrial, long lasting finish.I've been restoring some old fishing reels that are cast metal under the old paint finish. After stripping the old paint off (using a paint stripper), I've used autosol and a lot of elbow grease to bring the bare metal to a polished finish, which I'm really pleased with. (to the extent I don't want to use it on the fishing bank and get it dirty!).Finally, we had a rust mark in our stainless steel kitchen sink where an empty can of baked beans was left over the weekend and left a rusty circle. Autosol removed it, and blended the area in with the surrounds so it was unnoticeable.Solvol is great to bring a lustre to metal, including removing oxidisation, but its not going to repair damage, so if chrome has been pitted or flaking, it's not going to magically replace it, But what it will do is clean it up and make it a lot more presentable.

100% worth the money, great for shining and cleaning, I brought this 20th century decorative shield and swords from a bootfair for next to nothing, was unsure on the condition however I took a risk and spent 20 minutes scrubbing with this product and 0000 wire mesh wool and voila!! Definitely almost like new again, worth the pennies!! Better than brasso

An excellent product to polish aluminium and I also find it excellent to use once a month on my plastic headlamp lenses. It takes off that fine yellowing that accrues.

I ordered this to polish taps following cleaning with Bar Keepers Friend https://amzn.eu/d/06SjZmudIt is recommended that you apply liberally to the metal with either a cloth or toothbrush, and then buff off.My taps are looking better. I went on to use it on the kitchen handles, oven door and heated towel rail. You do need to really buff it to get the shine. It was surprising how much black tarnish was on the cloth!It doesn't smell brilliant but the odour doesn't linger.It's worth noting that it doesn't remove/improve rust and shouldn't be used on mirror finishes.

This paste contains aluminium oxide, which is highly effective for polishing any metal and achieving a mirror-like shine. Pros:Works with minimal elbow greaseLeaves behind a waxy layer to prevent/prolong application from future rustingIs not too aggressive, but also not too light-duty for most jobs.I used this on my stainless steel (Inconel) exhaust tips to get rid of 7 years of surface rust from driving in rust-belt winters. It worked wonders and tips look like their brand new again. Also used on some old sterling silver cutlery and worked great too. It’s food safe too!Cons:Pricey. Because it is imported from Germany.Everyone will want to borrow it.
