Artline 200 Fineliner Pen Water-based Ink 0.4mm Tip 0.4mm Line Black Ref A2001 [Pack of 12]

A friend of mine did work experience at an Architecture firm and was given a few of these pens, having been told that they are amongst the pens used by professional architectures. He gifted me one and I absolutely fell in love with it! As soon as it ran out, I immediately set out to look for them online and settled with this 12-pack on Amazon a little over a year ago now. Unlike the unfortunate experiences of some other reviewers, I received all twelve pens in a perfectly undamaged box. I used these pens during sixth form to prepare for and do my A-Level exams whilst barely touching my other pens. At first I was worried whether they are acceptable for exams, however there seemed to be no issue at all (at least with Edexcel Maths, Further Maths and AQA Physics). As for how long each pen lasts, it really depends on how much you use them. I used them on average 6 hours everyday and found that each lasted me around 2 weeks (believe me, I was a very heavy user). Unlike other pens, it is not the shade of the ink which tells you the pen is nearing its end but the tip gradually becomes shorter till the pen body just above the tip makes contact with the paper. The pen has a drying time of about three seconds and does not smudge after this. The pen itself is quite sturdy, really light (weighed each pen at 10 grams) and gives your writing a rich, quality feel. Would highly recommend to all including both students and professionals in an office environment.

As a left-hander, not every pen suits me - some pens smudge, others refuse to distribute ink evenly. These pens glide. They make handwriting a pleasure and the result is clean and precise. My right-handed sister finds that this pen suits her equally well. I will be buying more of these.

Perfect pen for drawing with a fine tip. The pens last a long time of constant use. I would not use this type of pen for writing as you need to hold it upright to get the best results.

I have been using Artline pens for years, and find the 0.4mm 200s the perfect choice for writing. This 12 pack was a great price and the pens are fantastic.

Beautiful pens they are in good quality and all work well, i shall use these often. They arrived on time- actually a bit early which was even better. I love them!

The nib is nice and narrow and not blotchy. It makes your handwriting look nicer and they last for ages.

When compared to other pens, these pens do not write as smoothly. The only benefits are that the ink dries slightly quicker.

exactly what you would expect. good item for the price point. however, the black color is more red tinted than true black and you need to be very careful to make sure the ink has dried for at least ten minutes before touching it or it will smear.
