This is a great shaving soap, based on Mitchell's Wool Fat but apparently with some added fragrance. It gives a great razor glide, protects well and is kind to your skin. The image of the red label soap is misleading - the last two lots I have bought have been black label, which is current stock. Kent is sold at a lower price than Mitchells and is a real bargain at £5.60 a puck as each one will last a daily shaver at least 4-5 months. It lathers well in very hard water areas, which is rare. Kent/ Mitchells is used by many of the 'straight' or cut-throat razor users and is considered, by many, to be the very best you can buy.

I like the scent of it. However it disappear on my face quicker than normal and has a medium slickness for me.

Superb shaving soap.

Five stars is because it lasts so long that it becomes superb value for money. It is NOT as good as Taylors and similar priced creams but you do get a good shave as long as you use a good 'badger hair' shaving brush and take a few seconds longer to work up a lather. A bowl of some sort is essential; it fits neatly into an empty 'Taylors' shave cream tub. It last over twice as long as the main competition so it works out MUCH cheaper. Highly recommended as long as you are prepared to spend 20 seconds whipping up the foam.

As described, contains lanolin and other moisturisers which is essential for preventing skin irritation. A pleasant smell and builds a lather easily. Good value.

Its a good shaving soap refill and makes a good lather with a brush and lasts well but it does not have a smell really, very plain

Die Seife überzeugt mich in allen Punkten. Ich habe trockene Haut (Neurodermitis) und vertrage diese Seife sehr sehr gut. Der Schaum lässt sich wunderbar leicht aufschlagen, gleitet hervorragend und lässt sich restlos wegwaschen, sehr sehr schöne Rasierseife, der Duft ist der absolute Hammer. Ich kann diese Seife jedem nur ans Herz legen, die muss man getestet haben :-)

Luxury shaving should mean this! Really rich lather, makes shaving alot smoother with less or no irritation. Is a little tough to load properly, you may end up having to reload for your 2nd pass. But that's not a huge problem. Has a mild fragrance. Find a container to store it. No point in spending 2k extra for a wooden box! Happy shaving guys :D
