Good quality 100% fluffy cotton beach towels. Nice size, dry quickly and are very soft even after washing. Great price too!

It makes me laugh that these are classed as 'basics'. They may be a staple of the new Amazon range, but they're anything but basic. Generously sized and plumped up wonderfully, our pair of towels survived a fortnight trip to Egypt and endured poolside and beach use without any loss of luxuriance. At most they got a rinse through - and still retained their softness and absorbency throughout. Even on return after a hot spin in the washing machine, they plumped up once again and felt soft to the touch. No loss of colour, vibrancy and despite the dryer filter being quite fluffy, there was no noticeable loss on the towels. Very absorbent, it was lovely to have these towels to lie down on after a soak in the pool - the hire towels just couldn't compete. Great value, excellent quality and perfectly sized for adults - highly recommended.

The good: These towels are exceptionally thick and soft when new. They are super absorbant and just really lovely, thick, cozy large towels. They stayed that way after washing as well, for a time. The bad: After about two years of moderate use (I have no idea how long towels usually last but I have other towels that are still nice that are MUCH older), they really started to fall apart. Every time they go through my dryer, the lint catch is beyond full, and there are huge clumps of lint floating around in with the towels, as well. And it shows in the towels, as they are quickly becoming thin and not nearly what they were just a few months ago. So I would say we got a good two years out of them, and then when they started to "age" with use, they rapidly declined, over a period of just a few weeks. The price is okay, but I would rather not be replacing my towels every two years, so I am not sure if I would recommend them. I would say they would be great for beach/swimming towels that see only occasional use, but not for regular/daily use.

Nice quality, pile makes it feel thick. Colour is crisp and they've worn and washed well as had them a couple of years now . Wouldn't hesitate to recommend or buy again.

These towels are great. Lovely and thick without being too bulky to take on holiday and a nice big size. The colours are bright and they've washed well.

I bought these as they were being used in our hotel, and we loved them. They're extremely large, very absorbent, lovely and fluffy and nice and thick. The only drawback is that you have to wash them a few times first and a little bit runs (we bought the dye catchers after the first wash to prevent it). They lose A LOT of fluff in the tumble dryer on the first few washes (we could've stuffed a few teddies!) , but they still remained nice and thick and fluffy.

After reading so many mixed reviews, I decided to give this a try anyway. For the most part, it appears the darker the color, the more problems there seemed to be, but not with all situations reviewed, so it may still be worth a try... I don't know. I needed inexpensive soft towels in large quantities. I purchased the color Yellow for the summer season. There were some loose threads that need to be snipped off here and there, but overall, a decent set of towels. Next, I placed them in the wash as directed to get the "factory" factor out (fuzz and whatnot), used fabric softner, setting washer on cold/cold. Then, placed in dryer (warm) with dryer sheets. These once flat, crisp feeling, standard looking towels came out of the dryer looking so fresh, fluffy and clean. Lent left behind was incredible, but nothing on the towels. They fluffed up 2x it's original appearance when purchased. My expectations were exceeded. Upon use, they were pretty standard. They are towels and do what towels do; these absorb moisure pretty well. These are not extremely fluffy, which is fine, as these tend to dry rather quickly in the sun. Purchased a few sets of these inexpensive towels for guests, and got several compliments. They are quite nice, honestly. I guess it's all relative upon what your preference is for a beach/poolside towel: soft, thick, thin, airy... I am glad I gave these towels a chance. The quality is decent, and the value is great for what you get! Hopefully, the darker color I'll purchase soon will keep me just as pleased. Happy summer, everyone!
