Excellent product
Really excellent product, highly recommended.Assembly can be a little tricky, here is my assembly advice (for tractor, loader, trailer):Set aside at least 2 hour. Have a rubber mallet or hammer, screwdrivers and adjustable spanner (or socket set) to hand. Use a room with plenty of floor space.1) Put stickers on first2) Assemble main tractor next- Layout ALL parts first. Set out the nuts, bolts, washers etc in the same order as they appear on the instruction sheet. This will make it very easy to determine which size screw/bolt etc you should use for each step. NOTE: A few spare items are provided and there are 2 disposable tools (small plastic tubes) provided to hold the wheel caps when they are being hammered on. Also note that the axel for the trailer has an identifying sticker marking it, so set it aside.- Carefully study the instruction diagram for each step. The diagrams, while they are small, do contain all the information you need. Check, then double check, each part. It can be useful to refer to the picture on the box, or even the picture on this page, if you want to be really sure of how it should look.- ENSURE THE TYRE(WHEEL) THREADS ARE CORRECT. Carefully study the pictures and diagram and make sure the tyre threads are correct. The inside thread of the right wheels should match the outside thread of the left wheels.3) Assemble the trailer next- this should be fairly straightforward after having assembled the wheels of the tractor. Again ensure the wheel threads are correct.4) Assemble the loader- Some steps require a little force, particular pushing on the plastic yellow ends. I also found a tiny amount of washing up liquid made the job of pushing on the rubber yellow handle much easier.

Attention to detail
Having read other reviews before purchase I felt forearmed. The pictorial instructions are a bit vague, but with some practical experience are straightforward to interpret. Putting the stickers on before assembly is good advice allowing ease of placing and handling smaller parts rather than manhandling the whole tractor, care should be taken not to damage the stickers when assembling. Although my 2.5yr old grandson still has a month to wait to receive the toy, knowing him I anticipate his inquiring mind exploring the intricacies of driving, steering, shoveling and dumping, not to mention connecting the trailer using the locking pin (may get lost, so will attach to the tractor with string!). Assistance will be readily available from his 5.75yr old sister, grandfather, father and mother in that order! (mother will oversee parking indoors until it is used outdoors when it will be banished to the garage/shed). Durability should be no problem as I know the quality of these German toys and the quality of the parts indicates potential longevity. Seems a good buy..........time will tell.

Great little tractor
Bought for our 3 year old grandson who is obsessed with tractors. He loves it, particularly the scoop.

Tricky to assemble but brilliant toy
The assembled tractor is robust and a great ride on. Love it!The assembly was tricky. My husband has built his own car but this assembly took him a couple of hours!! Instructions were hopeless.

Well made
I bought this as an Xmas present for my grandson (20 months), his first word was “tractor”.I ordered it on Friday ( direct from Amazon UK)and it arrived on Monday in the Channel Islands, which is as fast as it gets. You do have to part assemble the item, allow yourself 2 hours and read the instructions carefully.Mine arrived with the pedals and rear wheels assembled, all I needed to do was assemble the front wheels, steering, seat, trailer and the shovel. All went well except for the shovel, which I fitted to the arms back to front. The shovel is fitted on a spindle and the end pieces are hammered on with a type of compression washer. Getting the end stop off was difficult, fortunately for the two types of fitting that need to be hammered on, a spare is provided. The finished product looks really good, is sturdy and his mother is convinced he will like it. Please note that this model is slightly smaller than the more expensive models from the same manufacturer and is aimed at 2-5 year olds according to their brochure, however I would say 2-4, if they are 3+ get the larger version and if you really want to splash out there is an electric version.

Good product, awful to build.
The product is of good quality but OH.MY.GOD. it is an absolute f****** nightmare to build!! It took me way longer than anticipated, and I'm pretty sure I am missing a few washers and nuts - which I'll need to add at a later date - though it is currently functional. I was unable to put the wheels on by myself and needed someone to hold the bar whilst I hit the thing on with a hammer. The instructions are also quite small and difficult to clearly see what is required. I would recommend having a bottle of wine to hand, as you will need a large glass after completing it.

Built to last - even as a base model
Great product. Got it for my 2 years sons birthday and he can reach the pedals without too much struggle. Although he can't actually pedal it yet... He still loves it. Should get years out of this thing. This is a very well built little tractor. Took me about 40 mins to put together (so not sure what some of the other reviews are going about when they say 2h+).I have recently compared his to the more expensive versions by Jolly (which have gears, rubber tyres etc) - which is amazing! But... For the price this model is just fantastic. Yes you can pay £200 for the top models by Rolly... But I picked this one up for £60 and it will last years I'm sure. I have 2 boys and I believe I will be buying another many more from the Rolly catalogue over the next 10 years (I honestly didn't realise there were so many in the range... Plus the various trailors and accessories is just crazy). This is wel worth the money and I would recommend it for any child 2.5 and upwards really. It's solid and built to last. Great buy!
