The PRS Electric Guitar Book: A Complete History of Paul Reed Smith Electrics, Updated and Expanded Edition

Not as detailed as the earlier out of print version, however if you’re a PRS fan it’s still a useful reference.

This is a nice book but just lacks a little “zing” . It needs a lot more BIG pictures instead of the scattering of small ones. Also, more pictures of the famous people who play these guitars would have been nice. All that said, this is a nice book, but not a “great” book hence the 4 stars.

Just received this book new and although it may have updated information it has far less photographs and its shrunk a lot compaired the 2007 edition,not only in size but in pages.The 2007 undated edition is far superior, large ultimate luxury in quality as far as guitar books go, with some beautiful fold out colour pages,this 2014 one has none as far as I can see.I'm glad I didn't pay the full price although I bought new.So if you want a better produced PRS book, buy the updated 2007 one.I'm disappointed ,I had visions of an even more luxurious edition than the earlier one.Someone said the 2007 edition was PRS guitar Porn,this 2014 is only PRS soft porn I'm afraid,nice to look at though, better than the average guitar book,the only up side is, being smaller its easier to handle, than the 2007 one which is more a coffee table size.PRS deserve the very best books to complement their guitars,this one does't quite match the expected PRS quality.I hate to think waht the next edition going to be like

Pleased that it's not all just pretty pictures. There's a fair amount of reading in here too. Nice book.

What a great book. Wish I could have it on HB. As a PRS guitar owner of the early guitars. It shows what Paul is all about

If you like guitars you will like this, if you dont, not sure why you're here - go away.

I bought this for my brother. He already has a hardback PRS book that I bought him ages ago. He loved this updated copy. He calls it "guitar porn"!

This book is the 30th anniversary edition but does not include any of the 30th anniversary guitars... very disappointing. Wish I had read some other reviews prior to purchasing.
