Colombiana [Blu-ray]

Wow.I didn't expect Colombiana to be as great as it is.Highly recommended. There is a fight scene that has been coreographed exceptionally and the nice surprise is, there are hints of parkour to be savoured.This is another film that the expertise of Luc Besson is almost alchemical, it's as if the man has a gift with movie making, ensuring that everything he has an production participation with is a work of art.Great. See it and enjoy.

This film on the familiar story of drug wars puts a vengeful young woman at the center of the plot , the action sequences are in many ways spectacular with strong hints of the films Heat 2003 and Sicario 2015 in it,s action sequences, however for those with a weak stomach the lighting has been turned down for the extreme violence so there is no need to look away. A love interest has been introduced but seems to serve only for the purpose of her unmasking in it,s inclusion, and to give the F B I investigator a chance to redeem himself.

This film borrowed a lot from other films so I'm going to borrow a lot from another review."It’s all a bit hollow and empty, just like the use of Johnny Cash’s Hurt over the end credits"A tad harsh perhaps but not untrue. In my opinion this a decent but immediately forgettable film.

I haven't seen this film on DVD so can't make a comparasion to the blu-ray. However, this is relatively new film and it's as you would expect for a blu-ray. The film itself is very good because it's NOT predictable and has a very good story. It's thrilling but no so tense that you can't enjoy it, but it has it moments none the less.

Highly underrated film. Zoe Saldana is brilliant in this action-packed revenge flick from the ever-productive Luc Besson stable. Wonderfully shot by Olivier Megaton (Transporter 3, Taken 2), the story is a high-octane powerhouse and is easy to watch. And the price?? Silly not to...

Well made film draws heavily on such classics as Leon and Nikita. The film contains some classic action sequences and Columiana, as a child and adult, is totally believable. We all know that the bad-guy is going to get his just deserts at the end but how it happens is great. I have watched it four times and still love it as much as I did the first time.

I love this film - Never mind what the critics say - its violent true but I love the idea of a woman carrying out her personal revenge and winning against the thugs - and so gracefully!

Omg! Brilliant film. Had me wondering how did this one slip through the big screens and I miss it! Definite wow factor.
