Ultimate wet grinder and I am loving it!
Hi all, I was using mixie all these years in US to make my batter for idle, dosa and vada. But wasn’t satisfied with the outcome of the batter as it used to be like thick paste, sometimes not ground well and the batter is heated up resulting in poor and hard idles, vadas, or dosas . I decided to buy a wet grinder as many have said that the batter comes out well in wet grinder and fluffy, fully ground and above all we get much more in the quantity of batter. I bought S.S. premier wet grinder 1.5 lt 10 days back firstly after seeing the good reviews, next the compact size and thirdly for its light weightedness, in comparison to other models. I also liked the part where it fits in my kitchen sink and can be cleaned nicely without any hassles. The price was worth it and it makes wonderful batter serving the purspose. Now my idles, dosas, vada and punugulu are divine in taste. My kids loved the idle, dosas and vadas so much ! The batter was very soft and fluffy just like like home made whisked butter and was feeling so good to hold while in hands especially for vadas. Overall it serves well and I could not ask for more. This wet grinder is very good for a family of 4-5 members and the batter can be used minimum 2-3 times depending on the dish you prepare at home. If you are in a lookout for wet grinders, then S.S. premier wetgrinder it is!!!

It is very compact and light weight compared to cone shaped stones, less noise compared to cone shaped wet grinders. Looks very durable. Great product. As described.

Success with chocolate so far
Update Dec 2022: I've been using this for small (1kg) batches of chocolate for 8 years now and have had zero problems. Once I brought it back to the US and started using 60Hz 110v power, all the overheating issues disappeared. I can leave it running as long as I like and the motor only gets warm to the touch, not hot. My normal process is to preheat the grinder bowl in a sink of hot water while roasting the nibs (water outside the bowl only), start up the grinder, dump roasted nibs and melted cocoa butter in the bowl, let it grind for a few minutes, and then slowly add sugar (plus milk solids) over 30 seconds or so. Then let it grind for 8 hours or so, wiping down the sides of the bowl and checking for texture and flavor every couple of hours. I preheat the bowl before I start so that the melted cocoa butter doesn't freeze up when I pour it in the bowl (the grinder starts out quite cold, as I store it on a shelf in our unheated garage). 2014: I have used this for two months now for making chocolate in batches up to 1kg. So far it has performed very well, and the chocolate has come out quite nice. The motor does get fairly hot, though, so I limit the runtime to 30 minutes at a time. I then wait an hour or so for it to cool down, and then run it again for another half hour. By letting the motor cool, my chocolate batches take a couple of days to finish grinding, but they come out nicely. Who knows, maybe I could just run the grinder for hours at a time. I just want to make sure I don't overheat and damage the motor. I am using it with 110v, 50 Hz power (60 Hz motor) and I've read that cooling suffers when using a 60Hz motor on 50 Hz power.

Awesome for Making Home Batch or Test Batch Chocolate!
I use this to refine chocolate for homemade batches and for just testing out different chocolate recipes. Yes the information for the unit says "not for use making chocolate" BUT so far so good for me. I think they just don't want people dumping in whole roasted beans or something silly like that. Understand that I make my chocolate using chocolate liquor and haven't used nibs. I have seen where others are using nibs with this exact unit and do not have an issue. Heck if people are grinding nuts and rice in it then I don't see an issue with making chocolate using nibs. I've run it for about 32 hour straight with no issue but usually run for about 12-24 hours. My chocolate temp has not exceeded 118F degrees while refining so it does not get super hot and shouldn't burn up the good stuff in nut butters and other items and definitely shouldn't get hot enough to do anything to the chocolate that it is refining. Clean up is simple and I'm surprised at how well I get it done washing by hand with a little soap and hot water. I DESPISE hand washing things but I knew I wouldn't be able to put this in the diswasher and so far the cleaning experience has not been an issue and is a pleasant surprise. If you want to make chocolate I give my DIY home chocolate bar making seal of approval for all of you to go ahead with!

Works well!
The package arrived quickly. We were happy to note that the wet grinder was packed quite well. There was no blemish or damage that other reviewers had reported. We used the wet grinder to make idli batter. It grinds fine but our first few batches did not turn out the way we wanted the idlis to be (spongy/fluffy). That was more to do with what ingredients we were using and how we were using those. Subsequently, our idli batter has been fine. Another lesson we learnt was that we need to screw it tightly down (not overly tight). Otherwise the grinding will not happen! Duh! One suggestion: Just take your time taking it apart for cleaning and handle it with the gentleness it deserves. It is a stone grinder. So parts can be a bit heavy. It is cumbersome to move, so we have placed it where we intend to use. This way, we don't have to lift it up from underneath the counter every time we need it. The grinding process can be a bit noisy. We are talking about a stone grinder and this is par for the course. Its worth every decibel when the idlis and dosas turn out well! Overall, we are quite happy with this gadget. We hope it keeps chugging away without issues.

Great product thus far!
I had ordered this one and then initiated a cancellation for this one in favor of a 2L bendable one (for no fault of this one). But the seller contacted me for why I had 2 orders in place, understood the rationale and ensured that I got the grinder I wanted. Importantly, the support was good. The coconut grating attachment was broken. They promptly sent a replacement for free. After some time now, the lid screw cap got damaged due to mishandling from my end, and they are sending a replacement for free (even though I expressed my willingness to pay for it)! As to the product itself, it does the job well. Much better than the Vitamix I used to prepare batter before.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Smooth Performance & Perfect Grinding Results!
I’ve been using the Premier SS Small Wonder wet grinder for some time, and I’m really happy with its performance. It grinds the batter very smoothly and quickly — perfect for idli, dosa, and vada. The stainless steel drum is sturdy and easy to clean, and the overall build quality feels premium. The motor runs quietly and doesn’t heat up even with continuous use. Compact design also makes it easy to fit on my kitchen counter. Truly a great value for money — highly recommended for small families or regular South Indian cooking!
