This is my second remote, this one was easy to set up with very clear and concise instructions that make it easy to connect to my GoPro 7. The remote screen then mirrors the front screen on your GoPro shot number etc. the mode button on the remote changes the mode on the GoPro too, also it switches it off. It comes with a handy wrist loop for easy access to it. the charger is a bespoke affair made just for this so do not lose it, battery life is excellent. These cost a lot but they are extremely useful when out and about and need hands free operation.

I wasn't sure what to make of it when it arrived, its came with 2 manuals? not sure the mount of them as they said the same thing and that was just telling you how to pair it.. no other description on the strange metal accessory or how to mount it? the strap supplied seems to be for wrist mounting only.. so far it appears to work as intended, and I can confirm it works well with the Hero 7, a method of handlebar/center post mount would have been good and some more documentation on the device itself or the point of the metal adapter which seems to plug into the charging adapter space on the device. it did work well in the rain so happy. overall though it works and it appears good...

Easy to pair with my go-pro 5 black, and works perfectly. Battery charge lasts ages and had no issues with it at all, although I haven't tried it underwater yet, and at a much reduced cost than the go-pro original. Makes using the camera a doddle, and no more hit and miss with the voice activated facility on the camera, just use this to select the mode of filming and press the button. Works a treat.

Not for my gopro so cannot honestly review

I probably should have suspected something so much cheaper than the official wouldn't work. Some of the functionality works but the feature I bought it for, the 'Add highlight marker' to the footage when you hit the mode button does not work so I returning it.

The remote was easy to pair with my GoPro Hero 8. Before this device I used my phone to start and stop filming. As a new YouTuber this has become a must. The battery life is extremely good. I love how convenient and compact the remote is, in short I will not film without it.

Very easy to pair. A great addition to the Hero Session making it safe and easy to use on motorbike.

Tengo una go pro hero 5 que pongo en un dron y mi dron no tiene controles integrados para la cámara, así que me he comprado este mando a distancia tan pequeño para poder grabar a placer y no todo del tirón como hacia hasta ahora. Mando muy completo que no solo sirve para echar fotos o hacer vídeo, va mucho mas allá, ya que tiene botón para cambiar de modo incluso, pero la pregunta es ¿cómo sabremos el modo que tiene la cámara puesto? Pues fácil, el mando tiene una pantalla que nos dirá batería, modo, resolucion, frames, etc... es la caña. Cargarlo es fácil con su cable, tiene buena distancia de transmision, es impermeable hasta 2 metros y puede controlar multiples cámaras a la vez, por lo que es un mando a distancia muy a tener en cuenta, funciona genial y es de calidad. Recomendado!

Ricevuto il telecomando sono riuscito subito a collegarlo grazie alle istruzioni, sono in inglese ma di facile comprensione e specifiche per tutti i possibili modelli di GoPro compatibili. In linea di massima basta attivare sulla gopro il paring con radiocomando RC, e sul telecomando tenere premuto il cerchio rosso e dopo senza lasciarlo tenere premuto anche il pulsante power, appena sono abbinati lasciarli. Il telecomando è ottimo e la gopro risponde prontamente a qualsiasi comando anche a distanze di parecchi metri! Il display LCD permette di avere informazioni molto importanti riguardo la modalità inserita, quanti scatti sono stati fatti e molto altro. Ovviamente la possibilità di cambiare tutte le modalità dal telecomando stesso, e quindi passare da video a foto velocemente. Impermeabile per profondità normali e quindi la possibilità di fare selfie sott'acqua, soprattutto utilizzandolo insieme ad un bastone con sede apposita per il telecomando. Facile da ri-caricare grazie al cavo in dotazione. Presenza anche di una fascia a strappo per indossarlo come bracciale o su altre superfici. A questo prezzo è la scelta da fare assolutamente, considerata anche l'elevata qualità e l'ottima meccanica costruttiva. Consigliato +++

Update nach fast 3 Jahren: 30.01.2020 Ich habe eine GoPro Hero 7 Black gekauft und auch mit dieser war das Verbinden ein Kinderspiel. Schön zu sehen das die Fernbedienung auch noch für weit neuere GoPros wie die Hero 3 funktioniert. Nach wie vor gibt es von mir ein Daumen nach oben dafür. Der Akku hält nach wie vor sehr gut. Eine sehr gute günstige Alternative zum Original. Ich hatte heute ebenfalls Probleme mit dem Pairing meiner Hero 3 und der Fernbedienung. Die Bedienungsanleitung ist nur in Englisch (was kein Problem für mit darstellte) und Chinesisch. Was eher Ärgerlich war, das die Anleitung wenig clever gestaltet ist. Über die ersten 8 Seiten wird klar und unmissverständlich erklärt wie die GoPro, in ihren verschiedenen Varianten, in den Pairing Modus gebracht wird. Hat man die GoPro im Pairing Modus und schaltet anschließend die FB (Fernbedienung) ein erscheint ein Wlan Zeichen das den Eindruck erweckt es ist Bereit für Pairing und sucht sich im Anschluss Tod. Es Funktioniert nicht. Nach mehrmaligen erfolglosen versuchen habe ich dann die Anleitung nochmal Seite für Seite durchgeblättert und siehe da :-) auf Seite 9, neben dem Chinesisch steht wie die FB in denn Pairing Modus geschaltet wird. Ein kleiner Hinweis auf denn vorherigen Seiten wäre echt Hilfreich gewesen. Danach ging es Ratz Fatz und ohne jegliche Probleme. 1. Die Go Pro in denn Pairing Modus Schalten, FB AUS!. 2. Die FB nun mit folgender Methode einschalten. Denn Select Button (das ist der direkt unterm Display) drücken und gedrückt HALTEN! Danach denn Power Button so lange drücken bis das Display angeht. Dann beide Button loslassen. Schon sind wir im Pairing Modus und wenige Sekunden Später sind die beiden Geräte verbunden. Wäre die Anleitung nur ein bisschen besser, dann wäre die Geschichte in wenigen Minuten erledigt gewesen, so aber habe ich über eine halbe Stunde gebraucht. Zur FB selbst, Funktioniert 1A, macht einen Wertigen Eindruck und lässt sich ganz einfach Bedienen. Warum 5*....? Weil die Bedienungsanleitung zwar nicht gerade der Brüller ist, ich aber auch zu einem Teil selbst schuld bin, das ich nicht gleich zu Anfang alle Seiten genau angesehen habe. Denn Schuh muss ich mir anziehen :-) Vielleicht hilft ja die Info dem einen oder anderen. :-)

Je suis vraiment content de cette télécommande. J'ai hésité au départ à prendre "l'officielle" mais franchement elle est parfaite! Le pairage se fait en 10 seconde et l'écran de la caméra est dupliqué sur la télécommande. On contrôle en suite toutes les fonctions à distance, même les différents mode de capture et les réglages. L'autre avantage est que lorsque l'on éteint la télécommande, cela éteint aussi la caméra. il suffit alors de ralumer la télécommande et cela allume automatiquement à nouveau la caméra qui est prête à filmer. Cela permet d'économiser de la batterie, bien que celle de la gopro baisse tout de même, celle de la télécommande reste full! Edit au 24/07/20, je l'ai acheté à la base pour la héro 4 black, et a ma grande surprise, elle fonctionne aussi avec la hero 8 black, parfait!!
