Awesome grippers
Speedy delivery & packaged just fine - especially good that they can be posted through the letterbox. I’ve had all sorts of different grippers over the past couple of decades, almost all pretty cheap & very, very easy to close repeatedly. A couple of years ago I bought a ‘heavy grip’ that was a cheap imitation of the Captains of Crush. It was apparently rated at 200lbs, which I couldn’t quite close fully, so I was looking to find something to help build up to it. I must admit that I was drawn to the CoC grippers via some YouTube videos where they were testing folks grip strength (Jujimufu, Brian Shaw, Brian Alsruhe...) & decided to go for the CoC #1, since I figured I was already close to getting 200lbs, so 140lbs should be easy... Guess again. Well, I still loved the quality of this gripper, so almost immediately ordered the Trainer, to give me a lighter weight to warm up with. Pleased that I could then close that (100lbs), but decided to round things out by also ordering the Guide (60lbs), as my wife & kids were also now interested in getting their grip stronger, but they could hardly budge any of the heavier grippers. The lightest two were a bit squeaky, but that was soon remedied with some 3-in-1 oil application. We’ve also now got some really light squishers & finger bands for extensions too Overall, we’d definitely recommend the CoC family of grippers.

Excellent quality and performance.
Expensive but excellent quality so worth it. It is the trainer model but don’t under estimate that, it’s still a tough model to master as you work on your grip strength. Highly recommended

Great value for money
I placed an order for the Captains of Crush hand grippers because I had 40kg hand grippers that were too easy to train with and I wanted to take my grip strength to a higher level, I researched various brands and the Captains of Crush brand was the stand out option, when I placed the order with Valhalla fitness, (despite being a busy time of the year) the order arrived in double quick time and the product was in perfect condition, when I tried using the grippers it was apparent the excellent quality of the item and the required grip strength was up a step up, overall I consider the purchase great value for money and when I look to buy another hand gripper I would look to order again from Valhalla fitness

An Honest Users Review
If you’re looking to train your forearms, then you really can’t go wrong with these grips. I’m certainly a beginner and currently not weight training. So, these are ideal for where I’m at currently with grip strength. They’re not easy by any means, but they’re not impossible either. I’m slightly stronger on right than on my left. At the start I could manage to maybe close them once on the right and not at all on my left side. Having used them on and off for roughly two months, 3-4 times per week. I worked my way up to closing the right side 5-6 times and the left 2-3. Unfortunately, I’ve not been using them regularly enough to see the full benefits of the training. But I’ll certainly be starting again on a training program with them. As some have mentioned they do start to squeak after a while. I haven’t applied anything yet to prevent this but will be using some of the oil tips in this review section to remedy this issue. It doesn’t diminish their quality in anyway in my eye’s either, so it isn’t a big deal. One thing to note – If you don’t have a manual job and sit at a desk typing for the most part of your job. Then you may find the grips a little uncomfortable or rough on your skin at first. It does become easier, and you won’t notice it after a while either, so isn’t too bad. But just bare this in mind, at the start it may be a little off putting for some. Highly recommended

Great tool for working grip.
I got this because I realized my grip was holding me back from doing more weight in deadlift's and pullup's as the bar would slip out of my hands at a certain reps/weight. I guessed I would be around the trainer level, could not actually close it but very close so I usually do 10 close to closing reps. Can close on my right hand now after a few days. I would recommend you get a squash ball like 30-50 crunches on each hand before you go to the grippers (or tennis ball if your strong). Just something I found that helped. Also if you can't fully close force it closed with both hands or against your knee and try hold it in the closed position in the single hand as long as you can. Do allow time for rest though as its a small muscle and you can over do it. The four star review was held back by the item being fairly costly. I was a bit disappointed with my seemingly weak grip but I am only 11 and a bit stone and lean, which factors into your grip.

Handling It Well
I bought the trainer (beginner, 100lb) version of these. I'm no weight trainer and aged - just - in my fifties, but I could almost close these from the off. Almost. I would reckon these are a good starter for the majority of blokes. I was inspired to buy them after listening to a podcast of the Tim Ferris show featuring Pavel Tsatsouline who eloquently explained why having a strong grip leads to much greater overall body strength and fitness. They're expensive for what they are, but are real quality and feel pleasing to work with. I would agree with another reviewer who said the grip handles are quite abrasive, but maybe that will prevent overworking with them in the early days. All in all I'm very pleased with the purchase.

Don't ever go anywhere else for hand grippers
This is the real deal people - great for building up your wrists and forearms and overall grip. A lot of people on here had warned not to go OTT with the selection. I wanted a warm up gripper to start with my workout, then move on to a stronger resistant one, so decided to go for the T (trainer) and No1. Boy did i make the wrong choice LOL. i am fairly strong but i really struggled with the T (trainer) and now i'm scared to even try the No 1 as I know i'm definately not ready for it yet. I would suggest if you are not used to any resistance in terms of hand grippers, but fairly strong in strength to help kick start your journey (and i don't mean from using those cheap plastic no resistance ones that you can get for peanuts), then go for at least the Ironmind CoC Sport or Guide variant. This will help compliment your T (trainer) until you can fully close it after a few reps of 10 with ease. Oh and by the way, you WILL get sore hands after using this, but it will help build resistance and power in them eventually, so choose wisely.

Rusty?!
Just received them yesterday happy for having them delivered so quickly. Looks like a decent product, will try it out in the coming weeks. However, what are these rust leaks situated at the spot where the torsion spring and handles meet?

Captains of Crush (TRAINER)
Salve a tutti.

Fast Grip Strength Gains
My Journey so far: -Purchased the Trainer on December 3rd and barely closed it once on each hand. -Bought the CoC 1 on Dec 18th and closed it for 1 rep on each hand on Dec 31st. -Bought the CoC 1.5 on Dec 31st and closed it for 1 rep on each hand on Jan 21st. Just ordered the CoC 2 today. [I've found great success doing multiple sets of 3-10 rep range with some 1 rep max attempts; followed by multiple sets of 3-10 rep range until I can't close the easier gripper anymore.] (followed by 5-7 days rest to recover before next session) Overall very happy with how quickly these Grippers develop grip strength and would highly recommend to anyone pursuing that goal.
