I have permanent retainers behind my upper and lower front teeth and it is very difficult to use dental floss on my teeth, so when my dentist recommend this I thought I will give it a try. It charged up really well and does hold it's charge for a long time, however I use it ever time I eat as I like to keep my permanent retainers clean and free of food. So a charge lasts about two weeks for me. It's really easy to just put on the charging stand and left to charge, nothing complicated. I like the 3 different modes it has, So you can floss between your teeth, clean out the gum pockets and also massage the gums. I absolutely would not be able to go with this piece of machine now that I have used it. It is such a fantastic way for flossing when you have permanent retainers and cannot get to floss between you teeth with dental floss this does the job and as we all know we need to keep between our teeth clean and also the pockets of our gums. I would highly recommend this. Only con i found was that you had to keep fulling up the water tank. But I am sure it's the same with most of these gadgets.

I bought this after my hygienist recommended getting a water flosser. I researched the items for sale on Amazon and took a trip to Boots to actually see the products available and was trying to choose between the Waterpik version and this one. I chose this one as it seemed to be a superior product albeit a little more expensive. I was not disappointed. Yes, it can be messy to begin with but the performance of the product is excellent. It feels just like it feels at the dentist when they're trying to get into those difficult to reach places. The feeling of cleanliness afterwards is really good. It takes a little bit of getting used to when angling the jet head, angling MY head and getting the correct position to avoid washing the bathroom walls! After two goes I am only using one reservoir full of water so certainly getting the knack. Not sure what the charge retention is like as yet but at least it doesn't run out after one use. One of my worries was the size of the unit compared to the ones with a separate reservoir and hose; It doesn't cause me any issues and is a good size in the hand and comfortable to hold, also doesn't slip out of the hand. Still using every night and have only charged this up once so far - the charge is lasting a very long time!

To start with, I should say that this is the second of these irrigators I have purchased, the battery on the first having reached the end of its useful life after over three years of daily use. Read on to find out why I liked it enough to replace it with another of the same model. On unpacking, you immediately notice that this is quite a large item - it has to be, to accommodate a water reservoir of adequate capacity. See the picture of it in my average-sized hand. So it is not really suitable for travelling. It might also not suit people with very small hands, although its curved shape does help with holding firmly. How well does it do its job, though? The answer is, very well. Even on the standard setting, which is the only one I use, the water jet easily forces particles of food out of tooth crevices where they have lodged, leaving a fresh-feeling mouth. All very satisfying, but there are a couple of caveats. First, the reservoir only just holds enough water for once round the mouth (though you can of course refill it in the course of a clean). A bigger point is that the irrigator does not remove the plaque that brushing leaves. After 2-3 days use of the irrigator (but no other post-brushing steps), an interdental cleaning exercise is likely to find quite a bit of plaque. My dentist explained that the stickiness of plaque means that no irrigators will remove it, and this is indeed what I have found. Notwithstanding that the device does not provide a complete post-brushing solution, I definitelty recommend it highly. You just need to supplement it (or any other irrigator) with an interdental cleaning strategy for removing plaque (TePe interdental brushes work well for me). Lastly, be sure to follow the advice of the instructions to fill it with tepid or warm water. Cold water will be a shock!

i bought this less than a year ago, and up till last week reckoned it was the best water flosser i'd come across. not any more. the other day, while i was flossing on 'jet', the nozzle shot off and hit me painfully in the gum. thinking i'd not seated it firmly enough in the handle, i tried again, and it whacked me in the gum - again. so i changed to a new nozzle, which held - just about; but i now notice that when it's working, the nozzle is straining upwards to release itself from the handle, which makes me nervous: i don't want the nozzle ending up down my throat! i would have given it five stars before; i've knocked that down to two. Manufacturers - take note! redesign the mechanism which holds the nozzle in place! or you're going to have some lawsuits on your hands. UPDATE and now - only a few weeks later, in mid-swoosh it suddenly stops working altogether. i think it's the nozzle (a new one) which has become blocked, but i'm not sure. i have to fork out nearly twelve quid for new nozzles, on the offchance that it's the nozzle and not the irrigator that's at fault. *cross* FURTHER UPDATE - DECEMBER 2014 the battery is now refusing to take a charge - only 13 months after buying it new. going to buy another, because it has done good service, but i'm really not impressed. trouble is - all the other makes have big faults, too. FURTHER UPDATE: I've now got another one - same make. it seems to be slightly better made, with clearer lettering on the buttons - and they've increased the diameter at the base of the nozzle: maybe in response to criticism? whatever the facts, the new one is working well, and the nozzle shows no sign of jumping off the handle. it's still the best one i've used, so i'm upping the stars again to 3. would have had more, if the battery hadn't lasted such a short time before becoming un-rechargeable.

After using this product for a week I felt compelled to write a review. Until now I've been using the Waterpik WP-100 which is great and hard to beat but was becoming a bit of a chore due to the fact I dont have a shaver socket in my bathroom and wouldn't be able to use it even if I did due to it having a normal plug. I'd been using the kitchen sink which just wasn't practical. I was wary about moving to a cordless unit for two reasons, effectiveness and water capacity. The WP-100 empties its tank in around a minute so was sceptical of the Panasonic. On my first use of the unit I was pleasantly surprised at how powerfull it is for being cordless. I'd say the water jet is just as powerfull as the WP-100 as the hole at the end of tip is smaller giving similar pressure but with less volume. In terms of refilling the unit, its very simple and quick to do, just don't use cold water if you have sensitive teeth, very uncomfortable. I've found it takes me 4 refills for a thorough clean using one tank per quadrant, although for a beginner to water piks it may take a few more until you nail the technique. I liked the suggestion of another reviewer to remove tank and suction tube and replace with a longer 3mm tube so you can take water straight out a bottle or even sink. When I received unit I charged it for the recommended 16hr first charge and have used twice daily without further charge. I'd recommend this to anyone looking for a cordless unit or for those getting started with a water pik. On a side note I'd also like to mention that using a waterpik in general is one of the best things I've have ever done. The difference in my teeth and gums is unbelievable! Ill update this review after 6 months as too early to comment on build quality or reliability.

Almost 2 years since I bought it, this water flosser stopped working. The pump was making a weird noise and nothing would jet out. I decided to give it another chance and deep cleaned the whole thing with 1 part vinegar to 2 parts water, including parts where you have to pop the case to access it. The water flosser is now fine and ready for another 2 years, I hope. Regarding the product, it’s a an ok water flosser with a rather small water reservoir that you need to fill twice to get a full teeth clean routine out of it. The battery last for about a month and charges overnight.

Reading the reviews beforehand it seemed peoples opinions were either really good or really bad, I decided I would make my own mind up. You really do have to keep your mouth shut when using it or the water will spray everywhere. It states it quite clearly in the instructions so i'm not sure why it was a suprise to other people on here. I personally keep my head down really low in the sink & leaving my mouth ajar slightly to one side, let the water dribble out whilst using it. It sounds disgusting but it works for me & hey no one is watching! To do my whole mouth I refill it 4 times. Does it work? For me no. I've got good teeth & tight contacts, & it's not powerful enough & for the noise & the effort. I've used it a few times but mostly it just sits on the side. I sense it would be of benefit to people who have 'pockets' in their mouths or need to get underneath bridgework or implants, but for me it doesn't do anything. I guess I was hoping that between good brushing & regular flossing, that this would be the icing on the cake & help me avoid seeing the hygienist. It's also quite bulky & it looks like a really ugly cordless toothbrush! I can understand why though as it has to accomodate the water tank which unfortunately, as mentioned above, needs frequent refilling.

La funzione aggiuntiva (a 2 livelli di potenza) che mescola l'acqua con l'aria é un modo per esaurire meno in fretta il serbatoio d'acqua, sul tipo degli aeratori dei rubinetti, però il getto perde un pò di forza; certo, ne perde di meno che se non fosse miscelato. Io lo uso anche dopo colazione e pranzo perché mi lascia una sensazione di pulizia impagabile. > Livelli di potenza: solo acqua=forza max | acqua + aria=forza intermedia (io uso questo) | acqua + aria2 forza bassa. Può essere vero che questo idropulsore dura troppo poco con 1 solo pieno, ma non c'era altra soluzione per farlo rimanere compatto e maneggevole. E poi si ricarica d'acqua davvero in un 3 secondi. Ho utilizzato in passato diversi idropulsori fissi, ed i migliori rassodano le gengive grazie ad un getto che alla massima potenza é all'inizio doloroso; però il mio dentista é assolutamente avverso ad essi perché sostiene che lo sporco viene spinto sotto alla gengiva, e può causare infezioni e placca, e che i medesimi NON DEVONO ASSOLUTAMENTE SOSTITUIRE IL FILO INTERDENTALE passato alla sera. Alcuni tra i più potenti sono stati ritirati dal commercio perché hanno creato danni gengivali(?). Ovviamente si tratta sempre di casi limite. Questo idropulsore ha un buon getto ma non potente; non é molto ingombrante e non ha l'odioso tubicino che si rompe SEMPRE. La carica delle batterie dura diversi giorni, non é necessario tenerlo sulla base; di contro il ricaricatore é poco "intelligente", non segnala la fine della carica e così si rischia il surriscaldamento della batteria che non é sostituibile. > AGGIORNAMENTO dopo 6 mesi: ottimo, la carica della batteria dura 20gg, però in casa lo uso solo io 3 volte al giorno. Di contro, lo sportellino é fragilissimo, molto a rischio, però finora non si é rotto, solo smontato un paio di volte. Ciśnienie nie jest na poziomie irygatorów w gabinetach dentystycznych ale jest wystarczające. Zdecydowanie poprawia higienę jamy ustnej. Minusem jest to że cały czas musi być włączony do prądu.

5 Sterne von mir für die Munddusche von Panasonic und wieder mal ist mir klar, warum ich diesen Hersteller in allen möglichen Bereichen so favorisiere. Das Produkt kam sehr schnell und ist wie im Verkaufstext beschrieben. Ich habe mich dazu entschlossen, das Gerät an der Wand anzubringen, da auf dem Waschtisch bereits meine elektrische Zahnbürste stationiert ist. Das Geräusch der Munddusche ist angenehm und keinesfalls zu laut. Die unterschiedlichen Einstellungen ermöglichen eine sehr angepasste Reinigung. So hat man z.B. oft nach professioneller Zahnreinigung beim Doc wundes Zahnfleisch und mag dann den harten Wasserstrahl nicht so gern und wechselt zu "soft". Als sehr komfortabel erachte ich den schwenkbaren Sprühkopf, der es ermöglicht, das Gerät bei aufrechter Haltung (wie in der Beschreibung angesagt) dennoch gut führen zu können und alle Zahnzwischenräume super zu erreichen. Die Akkuleistung? Manchen Rezensenten kann ich nur empfehlen, die Betriebsanleitung genauer zu studieren.Die Munddusche wird i m m e r in der Ladestation im eingesteckten Modus abgestellt! Lediglich, wenn man das Gerät nicht täglich oder nicht regelmäßig nutzt, spätestens nach 2-3 Monaten jedoch, lässt man den Akku einmalig leerlaufen, um dann wieder in der ladenden Station zu deponieren. Auf diese Weise hält der Akku sehr lange und wird nicht beschädigt! Ebenso nach dem erstmaligen Laden! Nicht in die ladende Station, sondern einmalig komplett den Akku leeren - "lernender" Modus also. Danch konsequent in die eingesteckte Ladestation! Von daher ist eine Lade-End-Lampe völlig unnötig. Wesentlich ist nur, dass der Ladevorgang an sich angezeigt wird. Handling? Okay - auf den ersten Blick ein eher "klobiges" Gerät. Es liegt aber perfekt in der Hand und lässt sich gut führen. Die Verarbeitung ist -wie bei Panasonic üblich- als komfortabel zu bezeichnen. Der Wassertank ist klein, aber das sei auch dem Gewicht geschuldet und ein Auffüllen ist unproblematisch und schnell erledigt. Kein unnötiger Schnickschnack im Bereich der Bedienelemente. Natürlich kann man auch ein leichtes Mundwasser verwenden - jedoch muss dann nach Benutzung der Tank gut gespült werden! In der Regel ist ein Mundwasser jedoch völlig unnötig, das man die Munddusche ja vor dem Zähneputzen verwendet. Zur Pflege des Gerätes ist es wesentlich, das Restwasser nach Nutzung zu entfernen und die Munddusche einige Sekunden ohne Wassser durchspülen zu lassen. Ich persönlich trockne den Wassertank aus, indem ich ihn kurz auf die Heizung im Bad lege. Damit vermeide ich Kalkablagerungen und Pilzbefall. Man kann das Gerät auch gelegentlich mit einem leichten Desinfektionsmittel spülen, wie es z.B. in der Lebensmittelindustrie angewandt wird. Mein Fazit? Sehr, sehr saubere Zähne in Kombination mit einer elektrischen Zahnbürste. Ein gepflegtes Gefühl der perfekten Reinigung. Der Preis ist aus meiner Sicht eher "günstig" für ein sehr empfehlenswertes und technisch ausgereiftes Produkt. Lebensdauer? Ich werde es sehen. Allerdings muss ich sagen, dass eine Lebensdauer von 2-3 Jahren bei diesem Preis völlig ausreichend ist. Es gibt einzig einen Punkt, den ich bemängeln möchte, aber der kostet keinen "Stern". Das Ladekabel ist definitiv zu kurz! DA wurde echt gespart und man muss eine permanent freie Steckdose schon recht dicht am Waschtisch haben, um die Munddusche immer laden zu können. Ein etwas längeres Kabel wäre da durchaus hilfreich. Bei mir reicht es, aber mein Haushalt ist mit Steckdosen auch gut bestückt. Im Standard-Bad wird es da eventuell schon schwierig.
