They look great, sound great, feel great.
[...] For quite some time, I searched for a set of headphones to use for listening to music in my day to day life but more importantly, to make music and track instruments with. Having used these over-ear closed-back headphones for nearly three months, I've gained a new appreciation for music. I can hear parts in the music that I have never heard before, after tens or hundreds of times listening to the same songs. The quality is truly impressive, and the sound immersive. I use my K92s for hard rock (Judas Priest, Black Sabbath, Van Halen, Alice Cooper, Guns n Roses, ), rock (Pink Floyd), dance and trance music (Ian Van Dahl, ATB, Leftfield, KLF) to name a few. If you buy one of the high spec music production versions like the AKG 702 model, you'll be very pleased until you try to use them with your phone which (and my friend confirms) will unlikely be able to drive both speakers resulting in sound from only one side. The K92 headphones however are 32 ohms, requiring a maximum power of 200mW which means they'll work with your phone, laptop and probably most other devices without the need of a headphone amplifier. If you use a set of consumer headphones like [insert well known, vividly coloured, bass-heavy, brand here] then use the K92s, you'll be quite unimpressed. These will sound feeble, lacking in 'low-end'. This is because they are two completely different beasts. These are designed to be clear, and act as reference headphones - not bass pounding, ear-bleeding noise machines. You are of course free to us an equaliser in your music program to get that sound, be it iTunes, GoogleMusicPlayer, VLC and so on, but if you are willing to try without you'll soon get accustomed to their pure sound and learn to enjoy it even more. You'll hear more frequencies and dynamics in the music. You know how people who have given up processed sugars say that food tastes sweeter afterward? It's the same thing with your ears. Enjoy the ear nectar people. Points to note: Sound Isolation: I can sit next to a guitar amp with them on, tracking a song with the backing track and 'guitar-in' in the headphones and they hold up well. Noise bleed: if you drive them LOUD, the person next to you may whack you. Comfort: Sometimes I wear them for the best part of 11 - 12 hours, taking a break for 20 minutes here and there. Comfort is never an issue with these for me. Looks: "They're really nice looking headphones!". Yes. Yes they are. Sound: Phenominal. I've just brought a second set for leaving among my music gear, my brother has just ordered a set. My dad has just ordered a set. According to the back of the box: Frequency range: 16 Hz - 22 kHz Max input power: 200 mW Input impedance: 32 ohms Net weight (without cable) 200 g (7 oz) Cable length 3 meters (9.8 ft) Main connection 3.5 mm (1/8") jack plug with 6.3 mm (1/4") screw on adapter Driver size: 40 mm

Very good hardware; very reasonable price.
I do like a good set of headphones! And this is a *very* good set of headphones - especially at this price. Before purchasing I read several reviews and for the budget that I had in mind, these were simply the best option. The headphones are light to wear and comfortable. The ear cups fit over my lugs quite happily and there is no uncomfortable pressure build-up, even after prolonged wearing. The 'phones fit securely but I do not think that they are suitable for gym use. Build quality seems very good to me. The cable is quite long (a little over 2m) though I have extended it with an extension for my own situation. The 'phones come with a 1/4 inch jack but this can be unscrewed to fit a 3.2mm socket. Sound reproduction is (to my ears) superb. Bass sounds, 'bassy' but not muffled and mid to high ranges are also clear. The headphones sound louder to me than they actually are (which makes no sense) but this means that most music genres will sound really good without cranking-up the volume and making the 'phones work to their maximum; more technically, I think that there is little distortion in playback. The stereo effect is good (i.e. wide) even without enhancement from my amplifier. In short - these 'phones are a very good piece of hardware at a very reasonable price. Highly recommended.

Impressive studio headphones at a low price
I'm suitably impressed with these headphones. I bought them for mixing my podcast on a reccomendation. I used to use a very bass heavy, poor quality pair of headphones and always had to overcompensate in my mixing so it was all guess work. Using these I was able to almost instantly improve my mix and it was significantly easier. For the price they really must be hard to beat. I used to own a pair of grado that cost an embarrasing amount and whilst they were good, I prefer these for mixing. Same goes for just about every other pair of standard headphones I've used to try to mix with. They give you a very honest sound and I think especially for podcasts which aren't overly demanding in complexity of the mix, I think they're hard to beat for the price. The actual construction does feel a tiny bit cheap, though they look very good, but there's a lot of plastic and the lack of a removable cable is a shame, but they're small gripes and in a sense, it's good that the cost appears to have all gone into the sound, which is the important thing at the end of the day. Thebcable isnalsonvery long, which givesnyou a lot of freedom to move about and doesn't tie you down on the spot. They're very comfortable to wear and the over ear vibe doesn't cause any pain or annoyance after prolonged periods. Your ears do get quite warm but they don't give you a sweaty head which I've suffered before with other headphones. Overall I have to say I'm really impressed and think they were a great buy, absolutely worth the low price when compared to other studio phones. I docked them a star for not being able to switch out the cable and for being almost entirely plastic, but that almost feels harsh. Great value, great headphones.

and yes this was based upon hours and hours of study and looking at amazing reviews, this however would not cloud in anyway ...
MY GOD!!! I have just received my headphones! I have been putting them through there initial paces straight from the box, after just 30 mins I have had to come here to let you know my experience so far!!! I researched my buy for a long long time before I bought these, and yes this was based upon hours and hours of study and looking at amazing reviews, this however would not cloud in anyway my opinion on the product that landed with me about an hour ago. I have over the years owned very very good sennheiser headphones and I am a fan of BOTH totally flat and equalized music and sound !!! Right this is the track I chose to first test this set of headphones....Jean-Michel Jarre, Vince Clarke - Automatic, Pt. 1 Okay so first things first un equalized sound. These headphones are 100% flat, in the very best way that headphones can be!!! The sound reproduction with no equalisation is simply BREATHTAKING!!! every detail you can imagine (and some you couldn't have!) from the very lows through the mids and very highs is there......... without exception!!!!! Remember that this unequalised sound is EXACTLY the way it was mastered and produced in the studio!!!!! (this unequalised sound may come as a disappointment to some that are used to either or both bass or treble heavy headphones or speakers however to (for me anyway!) was an absolute joy to hear, this set of headphones reproduce this sound so faithfully, smoothly and with such depth right across the sound spectrum !!! Right now for the best bit (for me)as a reference my previous headphones for bass heavy was Sony MDRXB450AP (I cannot sing the praise of these enough for those wanting a clear base heavy quality sound with NO equalisation !!!) However......NOTHING could have prepared my ears for the sound reproduces on the AKG K92s WITH equalisation........OMG!!! My sound card allows me to equalise from 33-16k in 10 steps I pumped up the lows and the highs and took out the middle in a wave form that I like and really suits my ears....OMG all I can say is BEYOND !!!!! I know this track inside and out..every detail...well I thought I did till I heard it through theses headphones (that goes for the unequalised setting too!!!) Sound is such a joy when it is quality sound, sorry for going on but I really wanted to share my very early experience of the AKG92....... I'm back, to annoy you some more...this is after 20 plus hours of use and testing I really do think that these headphone should be taken of the market as soon as is possible, the chances of them gracing the ears of some sound quality unappreciative person is just too high ! ! ! Unfortunately I can see that this has already taken place from some of the reviews I have read on here! Allow me to take about a few things other than the sound quality, which I would like to come back to. The build quality and comfort on these headphones is amazing !!! Firstly comfort....at fist I was a little sceptical about the self adjusting strap, I can tell you that it is engineered and manufactured in the most ingenious way, it fits perfectly every time, you never need to make any adjustment at all, its done and perfectly overtime by this engineering masterpiece. Further more, once you have placed it on your head and the adjustment is automatically made, there is no sense of it been there at all! this brings me to the next point, overall comfort. The weight of these headphones defies all logic, the earphones have a tilt mechanism that rotated a full 360 degrees, so they are always placed perfectly over the ears. The combination of all these factors is that after about an hour of wearing them, you completely forget that you are even wearing headphones at all ! The ear pads are amazing, very very comfortable but unlike many other headphones with the foam etc which dose not look longer term durable these are solid yet manage to achieve to ne totally 100% comfortable, this design I am sure also helps with the excellent sound isolation of these headphones combined with them been closed bake design. I'm starting to think that AKG have recovered some alien technology, the two very thin bars that stretch all the way over from each side, are VERY strong metal of some kind, further more, you will notice that the sound signal and power comes in on one side.....I have looked at them for ages tying to work out HOW AKG have managed to get the signal and power across to the other speaker!!! and have come to the conclusion that is either AKG wizardry or like I said before some kind of alien technology. Let me put it this way, I have studied the deign in detail to try and work this out, the signal and power HAS to be transported THOUGH theses two off gold bars at he top and down the sides however the bars are so thin I cannot get my head around how they could get the wire for this INSIDE the cable, it would be impossible because it is so thin, the only other way I can see them achieving this is by using the WHOLE of these two metal (or whatever else they are) bars, if this is the case then the power and the signal ate been transported with no isolation, but straight through the two totally exposed bars....,wither way, or rather whatever way AKG have managed to do this (which baffles me every time I pick them up) it is engineering and design excellence of the very highest order!!! Right...back to the sound, please remember as I said before these headphones are totally 100% flat (in the best possible way!) if you want a heavy bass set of headphones with no equalisation jog on. However like I said before I like both flat and equalised sound. I LOVE having the option too choose EITHER depending on the music or my mood at the time, here's the REALLY amazing thing about these headphone...they will do BOTH!! An example ( I love all styles of music by the way!) This piece... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fNU-XAZjhzA with a totally flat unequalised setting, is just exquisite !!! No I mean REALLY amazing. The best way I can describe the quality of these headphones, is to say what ever piece you listen to however demanding it is, its as if you have headphones on that have millions of driver in them, each one specifically putting out its own individual frequency right across the full sound spectrum. The result of this, is the sound never becomes muddled or confused at all even when driving a very bass heavy track. An example of this is one of my go to tracks to test for very very deep and loud bass response...... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a4o-HoICS08&index=3&list=PL757B4703775657B2 from 4:10 to 4:50 in this track, I have NEVER heard a single set of speakers or headphones cope with the volume and depth of this bass.......UNTILL NOW !!! My AKG K92s were able to take this track and deliver a 100% unflawed delivery to my total amazement and astonishment, for the record this was AFTER I had equalised the sound to the very highest bass level my graphic would allow, to say I'm impressed would be an understatement, after waiting for over 30 years I am now able to hear this track as it was intended with no distortion! Personally (and I know this is not for everyone wanting heavy bass out of the box!) I LOVE been able to CHOOSE myself if I want to hear something totally flat as it was recorded, OR whether to indulge myself in a sumptuous wall of bass and sparklingly enhanced high notes. If you have access to an inbuilt graphic equaliser on whatever devise you are listening on, you will have unfettered access to both of these world with these headphones! To sum up.... Sound quality INCREDIBLE (both unequalised and equalised!!!) Build quality SECOND TO NONE Comfort AMAZING Oh by the way....they take "will.i.am - Scream & Shout ft. Britney Spears" chews it up and asks for more ! ! ! (With a heavy bass leaning equalisation) Since my review I took it up another notch..... I'm now running them through a Marantz amp and a Kenwood duel 9 band graphic equaliser.....the sound is just unbelievable with my preferred graphic setting..... The amazing thing about these studio headphones is the bass is VERY flat without equalisation but I just cannot believe how much depth and punch they drive out after equalisation .....it is quite literally head and body shaking ! ! ! Worth every penny I spent on them !!! There are a joy to pick up and just put on every day!!!

Comfy and good quality sound
I bought these for my home recording studio as my wife was getting fed up with my 'noise' interrupting her vitally dull TV viewing. Those 'Unknown' so called celebrities just have to dance and ice skate when I want to mix my choons, apparently. They are studio quality and designed to keep sound colouration to a minimum to aid accurate adjustments to sound while undertaking a final mix. I am no expert on mixing down DAW tracks, but they do seem to provide very detailed and uncoloured sounds when compared to my excellent Cowin bluetooth headphones. They can be worn comfortably for hours and they appear to keep the sound in quite well, which will be great when I start recording vocals soon. The auto adjusting headband is an interesting idea and seems to work quite well. Although it remains to be seen how long the elastic straps will last with regular use and daylight aging. Their light weight is also a boon for long hours of use. I have noticed that they do let through voices, so I can still hear people around me while I am listening quietly. This will mean that they may not be ideal for use in noisy environments, such as during airline flights (although I have not tested that myself). The one thing that I don't like about these headphones is the cable. Although it is a very good length, which will be useful while standing the record vocals while monitoring through the headphones.Meaning that I can stand away from any noise from my PC fans. I really wanted a set of headphones which had a removable and replaceable cable, because that is always the first thing to fail on headphones. That at the cable has already started to get a little tangled up after less than a week of use. I suppose only time will tell if cable wear faults become a problem.

Its A Personal Thing.....Being Subjective
After my recent ravings praising the high standards that I consider Audio Technica to have achieved, especially with their ATH AD series of headphones., and then reading the various Amazon reviews generally praising the latest budget-to-mid-price AKG series, I thought I would try these new AKG92's being offered at a third of the price of the cheapest of the ATH -AIR-AD series. Delivery went smoothly, no issues there. On unpacking my new AKG92 cans, I could not wait to try them out. Comfort. For my awkwardly-shaped, large head, I have no issues at all. Definitely comfortable, but so far only for my short to mid term (durations of listening). Audio/Sound Quality. On first hearing how these headphones sound, I was initially and instinctively felt 'let down'. These headphones certainly perform respectably for the price being offered. After reading some Amazon reviews for several specified and unspecified models within this range, I had hoped the sound would be as naturally clear at all the frequencies I was able to detect. I will try to describe the difference, but please accept I am not an audiologist. I just like good, natural sound with as little colouration, distortion (warmth or coldness) as possible. In simple terms, as clear and as natural as my AT Air series cans. Using those tracks from my cds that I am familiar with....I proceeded to listen. In one sense, yes the sound was 'generally good'. The difference between between these AKG's and what I am used to is best described as follows. What I hear, everytime (and according to equalisation on my TEAC set-up) is the sound that I accept as being natural...as if the musicians were performing within a reasonable or reasonably close distance within the same area as where I could be watching them. With these AKG K92's., it is as if the same performance were being played in an adjacent room...albeit with the door open... so that the original clarity is slightly (but for me, definitely noticeable) 'coloured by the introduction of what I would call a 'warm tone' that cannot be shaken no matter how many times one re-equalises. For the price, probably very fair or excellent value. It all depends on what minimum standards of audio-fidelity one has come to accept as normal and acceptable for one-self. As I had already disposed of the original outer packaging I will not be returning these AKG92's. I do hope however that someone, eventually., will be pleased to find them in a charity shop for a nominal bargain price.

Great For Big Ears!
I've been trying to find some over ear headphones that don't sit on my ears at all (as I find it uncomfortable and distracting after a short time) but all the sets I've tried, even though they say good for large ears, have failed in that regard. I should say I've only tried blu tooth phones so I had to admit defeat and go for wired instead and this set if phones are just the job. They don't touch my ears at all and I find the sound really good (although I'm no muso!). Good build quality and I'm very happy that I can enjoy my music without distraction.

Good honest headphones - just dont expect excitement (or huge bass) ๐
Very neutral headphones. Not fun or exciting like some reviews would have you believe. In my opinion, the bass is lacking. It's present, there's nothing missing, but it doesn't carry much weight. Sense of space is decent for a closed back, and has decent detail retrieval - picked up some tiny details I hadn't noticed before, so that was nice! Vocals and midrange sound nice, but won't blow you away. I guess that kinda sums up these headphones ... Nice enough, but won't set your world on fire. BUT, for ยฃ33, they do represent great value! Build quality is decent, sound is decent, very comfortable (could do with a bit more clamping force for myself - I have a small head, and maybe that's why the bass seems slightly lacking?) Nice long cable, it's light and doesn't kink easy, non detachable unfortunately, but that's not a deal breaker for myself (at this price) I gave 5* as they do nothing wrong, are well built (not hugely robust mind) sound honest, and are super cheap! Oh, and they're super sensitive and sound fine from mobile devices too, but in my opinion sound better from a well powered source.

Unos auriculares econรณmicos cerrados precio/calidad imbatible.
AKG k92 Unos auriculares precio/calidad imbatible, econรณmicos y cerrados.
