Excellent Pressure Cooker, Safe and Reliable!
I’ve been using this Tefal pressure cooker for a while now, and I’m really impressed! The stainless steel feels very sturdy, and the Secure 5 safety system gives peace of mind while cooking. Heats up quickly, cooks food evenly, and cleaning is easy. A great addition to any kitchen, highly recommend!

Excellent product, highly commended.
Excellent standard of manufacture. Well packaged. Item was well above the standard of the documentation which was almost unreadable due to its size. Tefal marketing department needs to consider the customer experience created by cheapskating what is a peripheral, but is a major part of the product's first impression.

Strongly recommend
I am a huge fan of pressure cooking and this cooker is mostly to thank. It feels very sturdy and is very easy to use and clean and is not particularly loud. The pot has a sturdy bottom, which prevents stuff from burning (although beware if yo make tomato based dishes, they are tricky to pressure cook). It comes with a steamer which is useful for vegetable cooking and desserts. The pot strikes a sweet spot between weight and performance. I wouldn't call it light-weight, but it is not particularly heavy either. If you, like me, are considering whether to get a pressure cooker or a slow cooker, go for the pressure cooker. You can do basically the same thing, but in a fraction of time and so much more flavour. It makes about 2.5-3 litres of finished (strained) stock and you can have a creamy risotto on you table in 5 mins. If you are considering getting into a pressure-cooking, this is a great option, which is of a high quality but will not break the bank.

Good cooker! Lacking the built intelligence and instructions, support to be great cooker.
There were lots of other options to buy but I preferred Tefal for their experience and quality. Pros: - Great steel pressure cooker, looks good in your kitchen also with it's shiny surface - Big capacity for crowded families or big meals. - Warning system is in the pan so you don't have to guess the water levels! - Several security measures to prevent you from scolding or injuring yourself. - Cooked several meals, pressurized quite well, cleaned nicely without trouble Cons: - The pressurize red warning could be more visible, it is subtle and you have to get close to the cooker to look and the usual steam might scold your face! - Steam valve opens towards the center of the pan, away from the handle!! means when you want to depressurize (release steam) your arm will swing in the way of the steam and create a chance to scold your wrists or arm if you are not careful. It would be so much safer if they released it just the other way around. - The instruction book, (As someone stated) it is appalling! I think google translate would do a better job. The pictures are tiny, and only at the beginning of the booklet. Instructions are confusing and vague as hell with no clear wording. If you haven't used a pressure cooker before good luck as you won't find any online material for the cooker also! I have had to call my mom to figure out what to do at first time use. - No recipes book, where is it, why would you not have any with specific timings for your cooker? - The online recipes are useless as they can be => Literally: chop meat, onion, man light fire, man eat food! - I have used a ladle very very carefully to pick up the juices but still somehow managed to leave marks on the bottom of the pan, so scratches and marks quite easily!

Great Buy.
Extremely pleased with my buy. I bought the 6 litre cooker and it certainly copes with serving 8 people. Had one years ago and thought I’d invest in one again - how glad I did. It cuts down on energy costs and works well on my electric hob with no problems. Cooks extremely well and the veg do not discolour in any way. Have cooked a stew and it turned out brilliantly the beef was so tender. It’s so quick and easy to wash. The only thing I would add is that it can be a little heavy to lift when full so anyone who doesn’t cope so well with lifting things may struggle. It’s still worth a purchase though. 👌🏻

Indespensible
This replaces my old one of the same make after twenty years loyal service and it's just as good. I use it for for all stove top cooking except the fry up. I love making homemade healthy, delicious soups and these can all be done after some gentle sweating of vegetables in ten minutes. Also classic meat and two veg meals in about the same time with all the goodness maintained so what's not to like? Instant pots may have more functions but they don't, in my opinion work as well as the single function product and they're infinitely easier to use and perfectly safe. From this I think you'll believe that I love this piece of equipment. Oh , and I also believe that you get the same depth of flavour from this in twenty minutes than you get in six hours from a slow cooker. Try it and see.

Solid 6L Workhorse – Perfect for Matta Rice and Large Families
This 6L pressure cooker has been an excellent addition to our kitchen. It handles large portions easily and has become our go-to for cooking rice when there are 5-6 people to feed. Performance: We mainly use it for Matta rice, which can be tricky. Once it reaches pressure (starts whistling), we turn the induction stove to a low setting for 20–22 minutes, and it comes out perfectly every time. Build & Handling: Be aware that this is a heavy-duty piece of equipment. Even empty, it has some weight to it, and once it’s fully loaded, you definitely need a strong pair of hands to move it safely. However, that’s expected for a sturdy 6L cooker. Cleaning: The main pot is dishwasher-safe, which is a huge plus. Note that the lid (with the whistle, safety valves, and plastic components) should be hand-washed, but it’s easy enough to clean that it isn't a dealbreaker.

Wow, a transformation in cooking and has changed my opinion of pressure cookers!
Although I have never used a pressure cooker myself before, my wife has grown up with her mum using them almost daily. The distinctive hissing sound that almost instills a fear of a ticking bomb about to explode, tales of when pressure cookers go wrong are common place... so needless to say both of us were somewhat hesitant allowing such a utensil into the home. However the thought of cooking delicious chicken broth in less than 20 minutes, beef casseroles in under half an hour and an all round healthier way of cooking and saving energy was tempting enough. Well after shopping around on which model to get, I decided that stainless steel was a must (easy cleaning and better wear), at least 5-6 litre capacity, a good wide base and of course a reputable brand. This Tefal model ticked all the boxes and with Amazon's excellent price and prime delivery, it turned up at our door within 24 hours in its original box with the delivery labelling on the outside. Inside there's not much to shout about, the impressively huge saucepan occupies most of the box space, wrapped in plastic and accompanied with a small multi language booklet. Inside the saucepan there's a vegetable pan which can optionally be fitted inside to separate foodstuffs when cooking. The Tefal certainly looks impressive in its mirror stainless steel finish and heft, although its not too heavy when empty. The base seems well made, solid and thick and should easily cover the largest gas burners on a hob without flame spill. The flexible sealing gasket is a translucent thick extrusion ring which sits comfortably inside the lid and can be removed easily to clean. Of course spares are available but it looks as though it should last many years of service. Closing the lid is simple and fuss free, simply allow the weight of the lid to sit on the pan with the alignment arrows opposite each other and turn the handle so that the lid locks into position with a satisfying click. Our first try at cooking a meal was a chicken broth using drumsticks, stock and raw vegetables. We first quickly browned the chicken pieces with a little oil in the bottom of the pan (lid removed) and then added vegetables and hot stock (water and oxo) to just below the top of the ingredients. The lid was then secured and locked and the green selector on the lid turned to the meat position. With the hob burner turned up to max, slowly the pressure began increasing and after a little steam emitted from around the pressure indicator (normal) the red marker moves upwards so its flush with the inside of the window (note the red marker does not pop up above the handle so you do need to peer over the lid to see it). Once the marker is raised the pressure now begins to build and eventually steam will emit from the selector valve hole with a distinctive hiss. At this point you then reduce the heat of the burner/hob until there's just a gentle whisper of steam emitted from the valve. We were both impressed at how quiet the cooker is in operation, just a gentle whisper as it goes about its business! After about 20 minutes we turned off the heat and then over the course of several minutes very carefully turned the selector level back towards the steam position so to gentle release the pressure. Once the pressure has dropped to a safe level the red indicator will drop down and the steam should stop. You can then slide the green lever to unlock the lid and turn it to remove. As far as I can understand it is not possible to unlock the lid until the pressure has dropped to a safe level i.e. the indicator has dropped down. The chicken was cooked perfectly and fell off the bones! We did try cooking some vegetables separately using the lower pressure setting on the selector lever, again results were perfect. I was extremely impressed at just how efficient the Tefal was at cooking a meal in a fraction of the time usually taken in an oven and saucepans, and at how succulent and tasty it was. Unfortunately the supplied handbook doesn't contain any recipes, although it does give some guide times for cooking different ingredients. Best bit of all though was cleaning the Tefal, the stainless steel construction meant that no effort at all was needed to clean it other than a gentle sponge with hot water and dishwashing liquid! Brilliant! The Tefal secure 5 neo has changed our opinion of pressure cookers completely, it's a lot quieter than I had imagined and I feel confident that it's safe to use. Oh and I forgot to mention the very generous warranty supplied that I believe covers it for 10 years. Definitely would recommend this cooker and a great size for a small family. The steamer basket is a bonus and the two pressure settings helps optimise cooking times for vegetables and meat. The stainless steel construction not only looks fantastic, it's a dream to keep clean!
