NeverBend - 30 Steel Collar Stays - 5 Sizes

For something with a name similar to "luxury" these aren't luxurious.You will probably only use two of the sizes, so you may want to take some measurements ahead of time and just buy the sizes you need? But on the plus side, you won't receive this and find that the variety wasn't wide enough.The smallest size has a different texture/pattern than the others. That's kind of weird, making it seem like they aren't all the same manufacturer.They aren't burred, but they aren't smooth either. A metal file would be a good purchase alongside these, but not necessary. It's right on the cusp. I don't think they will damage clothes, almost certainly they won't before the clothes are worn out anyway, so I don't see it as a problem.These are very stiff and sturdy. I've bought other metal collar stays before, and this seems like a thicker, better quality steel.

Only five of the 2.5" stays are magnetic enough to actually be useful for holding down a collar. There are some barely magnetic ones in the other sizes (2-2", 3-2.25", 3-2.75"), but they are too weak to actually work through cloth.They still work as collar stays that won't bend and will hold the collar down a bit better than the plastic ones, but I was really hoping to be able to use them with small magnets. I needed the 2" and 2.25" stays and didn't really need more than two 2.75" or 3" stays which is why I went with this set over some of the others. Probably not worth it since, other than the 2.5" stays, these aren't magnetic.It's strange that they make the 2.5" stays different (dimpled and magnetic vs smooth and non-magnetic).

As far as metal collar stays go, I suppose they're acceptable. Decently weighted, and won't bend. I didn't like that they were all scuffed by the time I got them, though. The sides aren't nearly as smooth as the flat surfaces, as if they needed to be filed down some more. I don't think they're gonna damage my shirts, but it's something to be aware of if your fabrics are delicate.Now the reason I'm writing this review: To warn others that these stays are NOT magnetic. I ordered them with 30 neodymium magnets. The magnets will pick up some of the stays by the tip, but with NOWHERE near the amount of force necessary to keep 'em collars popping! So if your intention is to use them with magnets (and apart from health reasons, why wouldn't you?), stay away.The case includes a tape measure; a nice touch. But in a cruel twist of irony, the metal caps at the ends of the tape measure are MUCH more magnetic than the stays themselves....

The edges are slightly rounded so they don't rip fabric, and they do seem to be stainless steel, so no rust issues. They hare nice and heavy and with 5 sizes to select from, I don't have any shirts that I can't fit a collar stay to. I'd buy them again - the price is right at $12.Whey I say they are not consistent, this is because some of them have a dotted pattern on both sides, and some have it on only one side - it really doesn't matter because there is no discernible difference in weight or shape.

Every well-dressed man should have metal collar stays...they are a huge upgrade from the plastic ones that come with shirts.I wear mostly Brooks Brothers shirts and the 2 smaller sizes of these stays work out well. I don't know who would ever need the longest size but I guess it is nice to have a few JUST IN CASE. Quality and finish of the stays is nice but packaging was not the best...the plastic case cracked in shipping. Still, a good buy for the price!

These collar stays are definitely a good bang for your buck, though they don't quite look like the product shown on Amazon. The finish on them are slightly duller compared to what's shown, and the texture doesn't seem to be even. Though regardless of this, you're not going to ever see them since they're tucked into your collar. And on the plus side, these are definitely made of steel, and feel really stiff. So for the price, I really don't think anyone can complain.

Sadly only the 4 small stays work with magnets. The other seem to be a different quality of metal so when putting magnets on them they just fall off. Comes with a measuring tape also which wasn't listed originally. Overall I am satisfied.I recommend cleaning all the stays before use though. The measuring tape has a chemical on it that rubbed off on the metal stays. Very oily could potentially damage your shirt.

the collar stays are great, but i got these to organize my stays as well. i found that they had overrun my dresser and i wanted my dresser back! this comes in a tidy little case which helps, but there's no real way to keep all the 1" stays together and all the 1 1/2" stays together and so forth. i went and bought some little rubber bands to help keep them together, and that solved the problem.
