GSL 50 x No1 Small Aluminium Foil Takeaway Food Containers + 50 Lids

To save money I cook food in bulk and freeze it in single portions and these little trays hold the perfect amount per portion. I have perfect size portions of home made; soup/mince/bolognese/beef casserole/curries/mashed potatoes/chilli etc etc etc in them so I have plenty of choice and ALWAYS have a meal available for unexpected guests. I also cook and freeze food for my Dad and use these for his stuff too, because his arthritis is getting bad and he had been wasting money on take aways. Now all he has to do is defrost his choice of food, pop it into a microwavable dish, heat it through and he's got a 'lovely tasty HOME COOKED meal' (his words) to enjoy every day.

These are great I make homemade sweet breads like pumpkin or carrot cakes, and bake them in these tins and let them cool and wrap double freeze them for gifts for xmas or new year. but also i use them when i cook a turkey and whats left over i take the turkey and slow cook it, and get the broth and add veggies as well as the rest of the turkey meat and make my crust and make pies and freeze them and i can just pull them out and thaw an bake 30 mins and a complete pot pie is for dinner.

Good Product, does the job

Just bear in mind that if you are putting these containers in a camp fire, to reheat food, that the lids are cardboard and the whole thing needs wrapping in tin foil.

I'm so glad I read the reviews on these dishes rather than being put off by the poor rating, which they don't deserve. As the other reviewer has said, these are a great size for toddler meals. You can write on the lid, so there are no more 'mystery dinners' lurking in the freezer. I found that these stack really well in the freezer too, so they save on space. I've just ordered a load more; perfect for my 16 month old's dinners.

Concernant ce produit il parait beaucoup plus grand que sur les photos. En fait il n'y contient qu'une tomate farcie pour avoir une comparaison. Se serait bien de mettre la taille.

Sure are small! I love this type of container so I can bring meals to my child at university, and not have to worry about getting the containers back. As the description didn't say the measurement of how small "small" was, I took a chance when I ordered them to see the actual size. They are too small for my use: 5" long, 1.5" deep, 4" wide. But I can see they would be useful if you were making individual sized cakes for example. I rated a three as the size didn't suit me needs. Although the size may be very suitable for someone else's needs, they are great containers.
