Honestly, just buy it! Especially for baby food
I have xoxo tot one which is plastic and smaller for portability. This makes baby food prep so much easier for small and large portions alike. It’s slightly curved on the mash surface and sides so you can mash right in your bowls. Easy to wash. Stainless steel. Perfect handle length, just long enough to give some leverage/room when mashing bigger portions. It’s pricey but I haven’t found any better alternatives, and I’ve been looking for months. No regrets though.

Strong, sturdy, and the perfect size for mashing small amounts.
I just received this today and immediately put it to work! This is a perfect little masher which will get a LOT of use in my kitchen. It's strong and sturdy and with its extra tines and oval shape, it's much more efficient than using a fork. It's just the right size for easily mashing up small amounts of fruits and cooked vegetables quickly, well-worth the price I paid. I had so looked forward to adding this tool and it did not disappoint! I highly recommend it.

Best Avocado Masher ...... Period
Works great. Best ever. I used to use a fork for avocado mashing, which did work most of the time, so long as the fruit was ripe. If the Avocado was a bit under ripe, the fork method was incredibly difficult. With this masher, works every-time. Easy to use, and the small size fits perfectly into a bowl for mashing. !00% worth every penny.
