GROUT PEN - Restores & Protects Tile Grout in Bathrooms & Kitchens (Grey)

I successfully used this to change white grout grey on 2mm wide grout lines. It worked well, & produced the result I needed. Once died, I then sealed the grout lines with HG grout protector. it all looks really good now, with no trace of my original error in using white grout when it should have been grey.

Great product for a very good price

This was purchased as a trial. Wanted to update tile grout, but be able to remove if it looked pants. Some people don't like the grey (looks unhygienic) but it's on trend and alters the looks of a utility room / kitchen. Personally we think this works well. Its not a substitution to removal and re-grouting at all. It's a quick makeover that can be removed easily in the future if necessary. I would not use this in a bath/shower room as the ink comes away with hard scrubbing but for splash-backs it seems to work fine. I am quite meticulous so I went over the areas three times to make sure lines were straight and all white was covered. The pen is simple to use and cleans off the tiles with a hard wipe. So, quick detail change fine. Complete renovation not good enough. If you are careful, this can look great. If you cannot draw a straight line… I'd not bother.

Hi guys I apologise for the fact that I forgot to take a photo of the work I did. Now because I wasn't sure whether this would look good or not I tested a small area of tiling behind the microwave so that if I didn't like it nobody would see the work I had done. I will be as honest as I can hear and say that the pens themselves offer and amazingly accurate flow and are very very easy to use. Don't press too hard just allow the pen to do the work. However my honest opinion was that this did not look like grout but actually looked a little bit fake. I'm giving it 5 Stars because it may have just been that having so many tiles in the kitchen was going to be a bit overwhelming to look at however if your tiling a small area I think it would probably look better than perhaps dirty white grouting that you already have. But to do a whole kitchen in it would have been to in your face if you know what I mean and I think that people spend more time and kitchens and would probably notice it more than just hopping in and out of the shower. So I would have no reservations about using these pens in a shower area that needs brightening up but it just wasn't for me in the kitchen.

Brilliant at first, Nib wears down so quickly though that you get nowhere near the 60m coverage it states you will.I’ve had to order more and I still don’t think I’ll be able to finish without a third order. Not massively impressed with the quality of the nibs. The colour is fab but I’m only ordering more from the same brand as I’ve got no choice. Wouldn’t recommend.

This stuff is amazing I've scrubbed bleached steamed my tiles grouting still looked dirty did not even know this stuff existed used this pen it looks like I've had a new floor thank you

I used this pen to change my existing grout from white (I use that term loosely!) to dark grey. I am so pleased with the results!!! Great transformation at such a low cost. 3 weeks later and no sign of fading or running etc...I purchased 2 pens and glad I did as I ruined the first one pretty quickly! But learnt my lesson for the second which did the majority of my bathroom. These go quite far!Tips:Don’t press go hard or be heavy handed.Stroke nib in one direction (don’t be tempted to “colour in”Shake the pen often and after just a few strokes, to keep the paint flowing wellHave dry tissue or kitchen roll to hand to wipe up edges of tiles as you go, if you go into the tileFab product. Unfortunately, I have given one star in all areas. I have used this product before I. My bathroom and it has been excellent. I started to do my kitchen with the old pen I had left over, no problem with it at all and perfect finish again. The pen ran out so I bought some new ones and unfortunately they wash out of the grout quite easily when wiped after application. I queried this batch of pens with the company and was told they need 24hrs to dry at a temperature of 21degrees. I had left the pen to dry for 6hrs as per the instructions on the packet. There is no mention of 24hrs and 21degrees so I therefore didn’t follow it. I again responded with a photo of the packet to the company and am yet to receive a reply. In the meantime, I have reapplied and left it to dry for four days as I’ve been away - gone to clear up where it got on the actual tile a little bit with a damp cloth and again it removes it from the grout. Disappointing product (shame as about 6 months ago this was fab when I purchase it before) and disappointing response from the company.
