I have an older model dymo letra tag xr. do these cartrdidges fit?

I purchased and reviewed this tape a decade ago and have never owned a Letra Tag XR. That said, if you search for LetraTag XR Paper labels, you will see several types where Amazon / the seller states its compatible with the model you own. I hope that assists you, Best regards

how many do you get per roll? are they like stickers?

It is a continuous roll of 4m of sticky back paper. Designed for the dymo label writer machine, you put the roll in the machine and print your label, the machine has a button to cut the printed label off keaving the roll in the machine. You then peel off the covering from the back of the label and stick it on your item. Ideal for labelling files

I have a dymo letratag 100 what tape do I need to be able to make waterproof labels to stand outside weather without fading?

The Dymo white plastic have not faded or peeled on my plant labels outside from 2012-2017. I accidentally bought dymo compatibles last year and they faded and peeled in a year, so just make sure you get the Dymo brand. If fully submerged in water some come off in a year, but general rain and outside conditions most labels have been great for several years.

Is this paper tape sticky backed?

Yes. All tapes are self adhesive. To release the backing, fold carefully down the length of the tape and the backing will be easy to remove. Hope that this helps.
