Just the job
I have a small number of vinyl LPs that I need to transfer to my iPhone Music app. This unit seemed ideal and it proved to be so. I managed to transfer four tracks from the first LP on to an SD card which loadedly perfectly into the Music app my iMac. I started successfully to build up an 'albumโ but then things went seriously wrong. The turntable refused to record anything more. After trying other brands of turntable and then getting a replacement Digitnow unit which similarly would not seem to record, I bought a new USB stick and tried again. Success! It seems that reformatting the media caused the problems. My advice is to buy a brand new USB stick or SD card and use it โ straight from the packaging โ exclusively for disc-to-MP3 transfer work and don't, under any circumstances, reformat it at any time. In my opinion, having tried other brands of turntable-to-MP3 units, the Digitnow is the best of the bunch. One of the alternative units transferred straight to computer, but I found the sound quality unacceptable. Another advertised MP3 encoding, but produced WAV files in mono! My advice for build quality, versatility of sound sources, and audio quality is to go with the Digitnow, drag your MP3 files in to the free (from app stores) Audacity app to 'top and tailโ edit them, but don't reformat your nice new USB/SD card.

Everything is really good. Buy this one!
Someone else says that you should look no further. I agree. This, for the money, is a fantastic buy. It's hard to find a fault. Sound quality is excellent. Very easy to use. Again, look no further.

Cheap, but it works.
A good cheap way to put down those old vinyls on memory stick or card. It handles the 3 usual disc speeds. With internal speakers can deliver grams, built-in radio, MP3 input or Bluetooth transfers. I found that vinyls transfered to memory stick, whilst MP3 files, were not usable on any editing programs I have, but play straight out from the capture device only. There is a phono output for headphones or separate digital recorder, which can then transfer to editing facilities. The amp system is naturally very bottom end, and editing may be necessary to filter out any noticable hum or rumble in speech or music of any sensitive character. However , at the price, you will get a working turntable to review those old discs in the attic.

A toy that doesn't work.
Quality of plastics isn't the issue. It is obviously a low (very low) budget choice. Concept is fine, but the principal element is the turntable - and it doesn't work. First attempt: the album just fitted with the support at the tone arm a micron away, but the record danced and bounced up and down. Sound quality terrible. The instructions supplied informs you that because of being transported you may have to adjust the drive belt. This involves removing a tight clip at the spindle, lifting off the turntable plate, realigning the belt below the plate ensuring it fits in a triangular position between pegs on the lower side of the plate then refitting the plate ensuring the belt correctly sits around the drive pin. Then replacing the retaining clip (needs some strength in the fingers and good dexterity). Second attempt: Once adjustments done the wobble was mostly gone, however the sound issue remains! No consistent speed means that the sound slows and accelerates at (its own) will. The only way to get close to a consistent drive speed was by holding the very small drive selector adjacent to the tone arm with a finger. Radio seemed to operate ok but sound quality was like having a home made crystal / transistor set ( if old enough you may remember some of the 1970's box sets where you either assemble or connect components on a board). Did not try the cassette after disappointment noted above. In short, nice idea, low quality plastics, poor build quality, fiddly to set up. Product returned. Advice: best to avoid and spend a little more cash to get a budget deck that works.

Just ok for the price
Dial quality is awful feels very cheap . Remote is shocking again feels like it will snap . Paired to phone easy and sound quality isn't bad over bluetooth . I have yet to try vinyl or tape on it . Overall for the price I feel its just ok looks nice enough and compact

Great things come in small packages.
I have used DIGITNOW! products before and I'm always impressed by the quality. It's a great compact player. It's very easy to use and has great playability. It looks cool and sharp. The built in speakers, though not as powerful as I'd like, still make my vinyl records sound great. The equaliser on the remote has a number of pre-selected settings and it's just a case of finding which one is right for yourself. I haven't tried using the tape yet, nor the SD card slot or the USB thumb drive slot. But so far I'm really impressed.
