Pokemon - The First Movie [DVD] [2000]

To be honest, I am re-watching everything Pokémon with my 3-year-old daughter. and couldn't find this movie cheaper anywhere else. so decided for the cost it was currently at, it'd be foolish to even bother anywhere else.Still, this such a great movie that really doesn't matter where or when you watch (In chronological order after Season 1 episode 69 and before 70 but you would not really notice if watched as a standalone movie.A great story-line, and obviously some pretty awesome characters. with the back story of how Mewtwo came about.my daughter loved it and enjoyed it, which is a bonus.

Fifteen years since I first saw this film it's still one of the most powerful Pokemon films to be released, not only does it have one of the catchiest soundtracks, but good heavens how heavy is this story!A kids story that mentions the realities of cloning and genetic engineering from the perspective of a Pokemon, pretty ambitious for the time, and the whole let them fight to the death scene reduced me to tears! I was not prepared for that reaction...Also, the main benefit of getting the DVD is for a music video and audio commentary from its directors.

Watching thisbrought back some memories. I seen this in the cinema when it first came out. Re-watched it recently with the kids and they loved it.I still cried when they are all fighting and ash is petrified.

First of all product arrived very quickly and in impeccable condition so that was great, it does have all the features and extra mini movies that original release came with but to my disappointment does not include the promotional card as advertised in the picture preview, So amazon need to fix that or make it clear that it does not include said card!That is part of the reason I was willing to pay a lot more than the standard price but knowing that all of extra content on disc is contentment enough i suppose.So only 3/5 experience for me, could have been 5 with the card included though.

When I asked if the product was original I was told it was hens why I committed into buying this product I was totally scamed!!The product came sealed and looked new and with what I could find online I couldn't find anything that matched the one I got.The product would be fine if it cost less but for someone who was searching for an original copy I feel totally scamed.

Loved this film since I was little so...what, 20 years plus. Definitely one I'll come back to until I pass on.I was glad to see that, even though I don't see the need for a remake, it looks like they didn't change the story. If that doesn't show how good this film is, I don't know what would. If you like Pokémon, watch it.

I could have just steamed this but I wanted to watch it again after about 18 years with the best quality possible so I just had to rent it

Bought because my 20 yr old daughter loved it as a little one and strangely enough still does. Have to be honest we all watched it and enjoyed.
