Best knife sharpener I have used.

I wasn't sure this was a gimmick or not and I can confirm that it is NOT. We have cheap kitchen knives, we've never gotten around to buying decent kitchen knives. So as you can imagine our cheapo kitchen knives blunt easily and stay blunt a lot of the time. I was on the cusp of binning them and buying posh knives but spotted this sharpener on Instagram. I honestly thought it would be a mildly expensive gimmick/scam item but found it at a reduced price on here and thought I would give it a go. BOOM it's amazing, our cheapo knives are now razor sharp. So sharp that I've cut myself several times :D. So if you have 'not posh' knives, buy this sharpener and then watch out for injuries. Your once blunt knives will become razor sharp, honestly we can now finely slice tomatoes with all of our knives! Brilliant.

I’ve had one before, so was happy to repurchase another. Reasonable value for money. It seems to sharpen some knives better than others. More expensive, thicker blade knives don’t seem to sharpen so well.

My wife is a chef so over the years we have accumulated all sorts of knife sharpeners and this is the one that seems to get the most use. It is effective and is easy to use. After use the little bits of steel stuck on it show that it is actually doing something but I do wonder if this also means that it is wearing the knives down quicker. As my wife is often buying new knives this, for us, is not a major issue. Looking at some of the other reviews there are comments that it comes unstuck from a surface easily. We use it on top of a large butchers block next to where the knives are stored and it does come unstuck after a while but I have never found any of these suckers which will hold for more than few minutes on anything other than glass so this was not unexpected and is not a deal breaker. I also found one comment that pushing down the locking bar without injuring the thumb on the cutter was hard. I have found it impossible to simulate this and it seems to me to be perfectly safe.

This is a great little tool for the kitchen. After buying mine my mother came to visit, she loved it so much she bought six, one for her the rest to give as presents. It sharpens knives very well, and the fact that it sticks solidly to any smooth surface is fantastic! I have mine on a cabinet door, it takes up no space and is always handy for a quick sharpen. Since I bought my first a few years back I have noticed a decline in the quality of this tool's body. Mine is made of a nice sturdy metal, but all the others I've bought through the years are plastic. This does not make them any less good as they still sharpen knives very well and stick very solidly to whatever smooth surface you choose.

A great compact and exceptional knife sharpener. With a few strokes it will put an edge back on the dullest of knives, a chefs/cooks must have tool. I wouldn’t be without mine.

Makes the knife very sharp, very evident though that you will loose the majority of the knife in filings if you sharpen regularly. It good to resharpen some old blades, but I would stick to a traditional steel if you value your knives.

This dear little piece of kit is amazing It sharpens my knives without much input and any life threatening injury whatsoever Heck I have tried sharpening blocks etc and nothing can touch this
