Good bit of kit
Works well. Easy to configure. Water resistant and good coverage in the garden.

Can't beat UniFi
I've messed around with other wireless network providers from many 'premium home' brands before and could never get a reliable system with good functionality. Instead I paid high prices for stuff that just caused me more frustration. Enter Ubiquiti. Brilliant stuff. Excellent physical quality. Unparallelled reliability. Superb network management software with more options than end users could ever need, and a wifi experience that users cant fault. This external extender is no different. Sits outside, gives me excellent network coverage for the garden. I don't use it as part of mesh network; the rest of my points are just standard AP's. I'm very happy. Thank you.

Works Flawlessly.
I completed a new Wi-Fi upgrade project at the end of 2023, September / October time. Upgrading from an old Cisco Air Net mesh setup to Ubiquity. One of the changes I wanted to make was to have better Wi-Fi coverage in the garden. As our garden is small / medium sized, this UAP-AC-M was an ideal choice. It has been running flawlessly since the day I installed it. As it is weather resistant but has no official IP rating, it is designed to be deployed outside in the elements, so that's where I put it. (See pictures attached) The access point broadcasts on both 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz frequencies but does not support the 6Ghz range. (i.e Wi-Fi 6 or 7) Comes with a POE injector in the box, I didn't use mine as the site is wired with POE back to the comms room. I've found the AP consumes between 3 to 8 Watts of power. Again, depending on the range it is broadcasting, that will determine how much power it uses. I've read online that the antennas on these AP's can become brittle and or break but I have yet to see any signs of physical fatigue or failure as of yet. For the money I paid, I am very happy with it and would happily purchase another if needed. Always do your own research of course as your milage and requirements may vary. But for an outdoor Access Point this should not disappoint.

Really good once configured
Not exactly plug and play, does have some dependencies on how you have configured your other APs. Once set up though is utterly brilliant. Deducted a star for the setup, some of the dependencies could be better documented, eg it needs to match the radio profile of the Ap you want to mesh with, such as outdoor mode. Edit, after a week of poor Wi-fi performance I bit the bullet and ran some more cat 6 to it. Works much better hardwired then meshed

Excellent value & speed
I have used unifi products now for a few years. I have a USG-3P, 2 x UAP AC Pro and 1 x UAP nano HD running with an Ethernet wired backhaul and cloud controller running on a server. This setup provides excellent coverage and has always been stable. I bought a traditional stone 19th Century property as a holiday business. This property fortunately had fibre to the property and whilst the Zen’s supplied router and repeater just about covered the inside of the property. I wanted a cost effective way of providing Wi-fi in the front and back garden. Having had great success with the Unifi products previously, I researched the UAP-AC-M outdoor mesh. I decided to keep this setup more straight forward I would not setup a cloud controller and setup two as standalone access points using a wired Ethernet backhaul. Setup is really easy via their app and once you’ve set your SSID and password you’ll be online in a few minutes. Speed is excellent as a direct comparison using an wired Ethernet connection I get 108Mbs using an iPhone 12 Pro 10m away outside connected to UAP-AC-M I was getting 104Mbs. Whilst the aesthetics of the unit don’t look as good as the discs Unifi produce they are small and extremely effective and excellent value for money.

Great product
Used to connect WiFi to 5 external cctv cameras great signal to all cameras now as old building and WiFi would not pass through the thick walls highly recommended for external or garden WiFi

White, not black!
Great product, but I was hoping for a black one as advertised

Easy to install and impressive performance
This is a fairly new product. I bought it because I wanted to extend our wifi outside by a weatherproof unit with 2.4 as well as 5GHz coverage (one family member still has an old pre-5GHz phone). I won't go through the set-up in detail as there are some very detailed discussions in the reviews of other unifi products and also some excellent guidance on YouTube. I'd probably over-researched this purchase because it was in fact a doddle to set up a simple main and guest wifi arrangement. Just plug in the AP (for the first unit at least) to the router via the POE adapter (supplied). Download the free controller software and follow the steps it takes you through. In terms of wifi coverage it exceeds my expectations. So, for ease of installation and great performance, this product gets a very solid five stars.

Fiable
Buen producto.

Just great. Some unify magic needed with installing.
I have two wired long range AP shuttles. But decided to get a mesh for outside extra. Was a bit of figuring out to get it to work wirelessly. But after I got it working.. pretty easy. Reset it. Connect it to POE and something with the control software. Adapt it. Had to forget it once, since I directly connect it to my switch the first adapt. But next time you adapt it and pull it out of the switch it works wirelessly connected to your AP, and you can hang it outside. (Forget / adapt / retry is the trick) Good range. Would have liked a network cable with it, but I have loads around the house so not that big a deal.

Boone émission du signal
Adepte des produits Ubiquiti, j'avoue que ce modèle ne me déçois jamais. Bonne émission du signal, assez simple à mettre en place, le réseau maillé automatique. Nombreuses possibilité de réglages.
