Erdtmann Wild Bird Food in Tub, 5 Kg

Think this is some of the best seeds I’ve bought good size great value & a really good mix of seed type & more importantly the bird are eating it all up Mmm! 🦅

I bought this one because it comes in a tub (we’ve had some mouse visitors in the garage where we store the bird food), the mice were finding it very easy to nibble through the bags but haven’t been able to break into this tub. The birds love this seed too and it looks like a good quality “clean” seed.

This isn't the most varied of bird seed mixes, however it's reasonably priced and does come in a nice, solid 5kg storage pot that should help me to store other varieties of bird seed, whilst offering a less accessible package for rodents than bagged seeds. The mix isn't non-grow, and does seem to contain quite a lot of moisture, so if the tub is left outdoors or kept in a greenhouse during warm weather, evaporation and condensation of water contained in the seeds may effectively water the seeds and stimulate some to germinate. Wood pigeons, crows, rooks, house and tree sparrows, robins, finches, blackbirds, wrens, and bluetits all seem to be interested in the seed mix - and some of them seem to have started grumbling at us when the usual feeding stations in our front garden are empty!

Price paid - £8.79. "Delayed" delivery meant Hermes delivered it today....not via Amazon Prime as previously. Tub arrived damaged - a common occurrence many reviewers state. This was The first tub delivered that I have received in this state. The lid was smashed and the contents had to be carefully tipped into the crushed/flimsy Amazon cardboard box. Luckily I still had the previous tub of Erdtmann' s Sommerstreufutter to decant it all. Amazon were contacted via chat, Megha one of their Customer Service staff kindly gave me a full refund of £8.79 AND a £5 goodwill voucher. The birdseed has plenty of Black Niger Seeds which the regular garden visitors will enjoy.

I cannot personally comment on the flavour 😂 but the birds seem to love it. I find myself singing "my bird seed brings all birds to the bar" more often than necessary lol. No but seriously the birds love it, its a massive tub and should last these chubbies a little while.

I mix this seed in layers with my expensive seeds, suet bits and mealworms. It is value for money with lots of variety. The birds are quite messy and I keep on having to use the hoe to clear up all the sprouting seeds on the ground! Aaah well it's nice to see them clustering around the feeding stations.

Birds don’t seem to like it but it’s good quality seed.

This is so popular we’re having a job keeping it filled up! Came very quickly and is so bird friendly I wish we’d ordered two! large tubs which keep well and am really pleased with the outcome. Just the usual ordinary birds but they took to it right away without pondering over it! Would definitely recommend.

Mes oiseaux de jardin (mésanges, moineaux, verdier d'Europe, pinson, rouge gorges, et tourterelles) en raffolent. J'ai beaucoup de succès avec ces graines sauf une sorte ! Visiblement ils sont difficiles et me laisse que graine (petite et jaune orange) dont ils ne veulent pas. Mais mis à part ils mangent les autres. Le prix est plus cher que dans des grandes surfaces, mais pour avoir comparé, la qualité n'est pas du tout la même en magasin ! Celles ci sont vraiment de bonne qualité, sans bout de bois ni poussière etc. J'achète ces graines pour mes oiseaux seulement pendant les périodes de froid. Il faut éviter de leur en donner quand il y a des insectes et autres à dispositions pour eux

Très bon produit, livré dans les délais dommage que l'article est été aussi mal emballé. Nombreuses déchirures sur le carton rafistolé avec du scotch large très mal posé.
