Decent Little Mini-series to go with Season 1 DVD
Human Target in Spring 2010 was a chance to bring a fun action adventure genre back to the small screen. It had really enjoyable season 1. Then a poor season 2 revamp. Which you can blame Matt Miller and Fox Execs for. The Mini-series is not a groundbreaking or filled the same thought provoking adult content in Vertigo Series. If you want something that was at least better than season 2 fare. You can't go wrong with this.

Couldn't even finish it. Total waste of money.

Don't bother buying this....
Did D.C. even bother to read this before asking us to shell out our hard earned money?! I knew the ending before I finished the first issue. Spend your money on something better, I should have.

Misses the mark...
Apparently this has more in common with the short-lived TV series than the original comic it was based on. I am not acquainted with the vertigo series (or the TV series) so I can't make any comparisons, but I found this to be a rather dull affair. Each chapter (issue) has not just the same structure but essentially the same story set in a different location. Its obvious from the start who is going to double-cross our hero but for some reason he takes his time in not just figuring it out, but even bothering to wonder why people keep showing up to kill him. And the process of "figuring it out" consists of a phone call to his torturer buddy to go torture the answer out of some random person. Sherlock Holmes this 'aint. The art is dull and lifeless. The writing is uninspired. All in all its probably better avoided unless you are a fan of the series desperate for one more adventure with the character.

Dull product
The basic plot is about a mercenary hired by the CIA to bring in an ex-Mafia boss and his daughter alive for a grand testimony. Most of the stories are set in European cities and Hongkong as the mercenary escorts and protects the Mafia boss while he travels about to retrieve his documents. The artwork is not great and I can't recommend a purchase. Very similar to a Richard Castle concept.
