We have extremely high manganese levels in our well water, these filters work very well, although we do have to clean the filters once a month.I think the price is absolutely scandalous though....

Easy to fit, works like it should

Have fitted these to a VERY cheap MOGUL Stainless Steel Gravity Water Filter, which is a bit rough but good enough considering its dirt cheap.No brainer really although the Mogul has some rough edges on the drillings.  MOGUL Stainless Steel Gravity Water Filter Travel Camping Filter *LIMITED OFFER*  Could not post a review for the Mogul as purchased from a different website. ;-) The standard candles that come with the Mogul will be gifted to a refugee charity.....;-) and we have the squeaky clean water supply ready for all situations...No brainer for cheapskates!

I don't think I'd trust any other system. The Berkey Black Purification elements, with the Berkey filter, for me, is the best there is in water filtration.

A work in progress, first use using adapted food quality drums produced lovey tasting water from brackish and chlorinated water.Many uses including water shortage, emergencies and disasters where you need to produce clean water from ground/rain waterMore later... but you can search YouTube for Berkey filters to find out how to make your own or buy the whole kit.

I used this in a remote area with water from a well. There is a lot of chalk in the water. The filters kept clogging up, and the water turned slimy and white. I cleaned them regularly, but eventually could not trust them.

Bought for emergencies - not had a chance to use it - and I hope I never do!YouTube has good information on how to home-build a very inexpensive filter cartridge holder.

Water tastes so much better when filtered. Our local reservoir has had coliform bacteria test positive and high levels of metals.Our dog tested positive for aluminium toxicity when having tap water. Would not use unfiltered tap water now.

I have had my Berkey water filtering system for years. The taste of the water is amazing. These filters last for years depending on the quantity of water you drink! I didn't know my filter on my freezer stopped working until I notice the sludge in the filtering portion (top) of my Berkey containers. To keep my ice fresh I constantly take a bunch out and put it in the top containers where the filters are attached so as it melts it drips into the fresh water container. There was so much yucky stuff that I was so happy I had been using the Berkey filtering system. The filters did an amazing job!

I bought these filters to replace my original Berkeley filters when I bought my Berkeley. Original filters filterd water 3 times faster don’t know if something wrong with these ones very irritating .

Mialam wczesnej orginalne filtry i dzialaly wiele lat, tym razem po miesiacu woda sie nie filtruje przez 30% filtra. Tyle kasy za takie badziewie.
