Is this chalk any good on a school chalkboard?

I use this for a dartboard scoring on a blackboard and found this make to be the best, I can remember this make of chalk from my school days 40 odd years ago.

How thick are they exactly? I need to know whether they will fit into my chalk clutch.

Each piece of chalk is 8cm long and approx. 9mm in diameter.Hope that helps.
