Nido Instant Full Cream Milk Powder, Substitute for Fresh Milk, for Tea & Coffee 2.5kg Tin

This is not powdered milk, well, it’s not what we’ve been used to as powdered milk, the stuff that came before this was awful, I’m sure most of us have tried it and probably weren’t keen on it. This is NOTHING like that. This is milk. Just milk. Looks like milk, tastes like milk. Whole milk, maybe slightly but only slightly like whole UHT milk, which I like. I’ve drank it cold, like milk. If you handed it to me, I’d never have know it wasn’t regular milk. I’m not sure I can be more clear, lol. It tastes like milk in tea and coffee. One word of warning, you know what we’re all like, heaping spoonful in the mug....less is more, a level spoonful is enough otherwise your going to make your drink too milky and that might put you off, that’s your fault, not the powder. It’s a decent price, let’s hope it remains so. I can see me buying this a lot, I’m not great at getting cartons of milk only for them to expire or me not need it this week and waste it. This is a great alternative that is just like the original. I plan on enriching my home made yoghurt and bread with it, I hear it’s great for that. Will be so useful with a thermos flask and if anyone has a teasmaid I can see it be8ng a real help there too. Very satisfied and somewhat surprised that other reviews were indeed correct....it’s milk.

Good value size wise, can is huge! I read all the previous reviews on how you can't tell the difference and thought, okay, let's give it a go. Made up the initial 3 scoops to 225ml water and it looks like milk, so bottoms up! It really does taste good!! I'm not gonna lie, I thought it was going to be fake tasting and end up in a cupboard never to be seen again but it is just like cream, it is more cream than milk but it does say that on the can. I have big milk drinkers in my house and this has gone down well with all of them. I would say, make up a batch in a jug and chill it in the fridge if you don't like it warm but this stuff would be perfect for puddings, breakfast etc given its creaminess. Recommended for sure.

The value for money is incredible and the quality is as it should. Bought this for my Asian household who loves drinking tea. Great value and you can use it with anything that has a milk ingredient.

Perfect... Just What I needed. Nutrilicious. Mothers that want to give normal milk to their babies. This is it. My brothers, myself and most of the people that I know grew up drinking Nido and their babies, and now their 'babies's babies. Have a try and you'll know what I mean. Not just for children. Adults too. Great Milk for all those milk lovers out there. Nestle should be paying my for loving their milk so much :) By the way... Great for cooking and baking as well... and if you like the taste of milk in your tea... yummm yummm.

This is an absolutely enormous, almost catering size tin of of dried milk powder. Unlike the rubbish skimmed milk powders you buy in most supermarkets, this is a lovely, tasty, full cream milk. It dissolves beautifully. My elderly mother mixes it with boiled water to make hot cereal, and after my daughter accidentally picked up the type of hot chocolate you have to mix with milk I found that three to five teaspoons added to the cup makes a tasty choccy drink. I am disabled and cannot always get to the shops, this product saves me and my hip from inflicting more pain than normal. I've found I cannot live with a tin of Nido in the house any more

I much prefer this product to anything I can buy locally. Mainly because it isn't the skimmed milk version, which lacks flavour compared to full fat milk powder. Is it as good as fresh milk? Not quite, but compared to any of the skimmed versions I have used in the past, it's pretty darned close. Just make up the milk powder with cold water (I have a dedicated jug I use for this purpose), and then use in exactly the same way as fresh milk. And given the run on these types of products at the start of the Covid pandemic, I was grateful I had this in my pantry; it allowed me to have a halfway decent coffee for several weeks without worrying about trying to get fresh milk from shops. Price is slightly more than a supermarket own brand, but the supermarket one is only a skimmed milk version, so the few extra pence per kilo is well worth the investment in my opinion.
