Early days, the good and the iffy. Update. Final
Amazon replaced it after it lost my data by corrupting the SD card. The replacement almost immediately updated to Android 8 which was a surprise. No problems to date with the SD card and all seems to be working. Wifi problems OK now. Now does what I want although is very slow to recharge so now do it overnight. All my previous comments remain. Finally gave up. SD card corrupted, again. Apps lost, so was my patience. Sent back. Lenovo is now on my never again list. Upside, Amazon accepted return without hassle. 5 stars. Lenovo, dodgy, -5 stars. My Nexus 7 2013 blew up when I tried to replace the battery and this tab was to replace it.This seemed to be the best after reading many reviews of many tabs. I have used many different Lenovo devices and have always been happy with them. As the title this is early days so will do an update in few weeks.First impressions, cameras I never use so no comment. Sound is OK with Dolby running, without, a bit tinny. Screen good and I don't notice the difference between this and full HD. Music and videos are fine. Overall build quality, no criticism. I like the rear texture as it's grippy and soft to the touch. Easy to hold one hand by the bottom corner. Touch is responsive. Almost pure Android Nougat 7.1.1 with little junk. The iffy. Sometimes slow to load ordinary apps, very slow wifi (my normal wifi is 45Mbps, on the Lenovo it seems to freeze at random intervals and rarely gets above 10). Games, even small games just don't like it which is fine as I tend to download, use for a couple of days and then uninstall. If you like gaming, don't get this tab. For me games are now a no no. Browsing is OK, email OK, news OK. Forget Android updates, Lenovo don't do them. The SD card is only good for data so if you use a lot of apps the 16GB may end up being too small. On boot up the SD is reported as faulty but once fully booted up the error message goes away and works OK. Is it as good as the 5 year old Nexus. No. Apart from a bigger screen I can not see any advantages of the Lenovo and if Asus ever produces a new Nexus version I will be the first to buy. I believe the Nexus was so good that they decided to stop producing it as the profit margin was too low.

Disappointed with the details
Very disappointed with this tablet. I got it as a replacement for my old galaxy Tab s 8.4 expecting similar spec given that was 4 years old. It's not, really it's the details that let it down. For example, the volume control is really unresponsive at low volume - it's either loud or off. I use tablets a lot for reading at night, turning the background to black but this is terrible, so much light and difficult to see the words at any angle. There's the annoying feature that you can't permanently turn off notifications, so constant flashing lights. On screen display is also pretty limited as well.

It's light weight and thin. All round great product.
I had a Hudl 2 before this. This beats it on all aspects. It boots up faster, the standby is fantastic. It's much more responsive and connects to BT and WiFi quicker. So glad I updated. Was delivered on time no issues.

Another great Lenovo product
I have various Lenovo devices and so was expecting a tablet with all the usual Lenovo features. Not disappointed with this model. Terrific tablet with all the Lenovo quality. Would recommend to anyone. Recently had the system update to Oreo (8.1) as a result the speed is so fast.

Excellent value for money when bought
I had one, so knew it was good. Bought this for my son who hitherto broke my cast-offs. It's still going strong. For the spec, it's fast and has a good screen. Wifi, bluetooth and other connections all work well.
